Worst places to live in Oklahoma City – https://youtu.be/ehpa2ecyhC0

What’s it like living in Kansas City? Well first off, there’s a KC Kansas as well and it’s hot and humid in the Summer, just like most of the mid-west. It’s actually the largest city in Missouri, although the St Louis metropolitan area is actually slightly bigger. It’s also, along with Omaha, Wichita, and other great plains suburbs, one of the cheapest and best cities to live in America. While it isn’t the fastest growing city, a lot of people are moving to KCMO, and there is a cheap cost of living, so why shouldn’t you live in Kansas City, MO.

Thanks for watching From Here to There! This is one of my top ten videos where we explain things about the world, it’s history, and geography, starting with the different states, cities, and towns in the United States. Find out the worst and best places to live in 2019!

As a person from Kansas City… yeah. Don’t live in Kansas City. Especially if you are not white and plan on raising a family. The schools are abysmal.

One of the most segregated cities in the country? Kansas City here I come!
Oh no, "affordable housing" — knew it was too good to be true.

  9. Stephen on August 12, 2022 at 11:56 pm

"…Affordable housing" (8:55) means ghettos and is not a "big stride" in any direction except straight to hell.

I was born and raised in Kansas City, and I still live here. Even though the crime rate is high, the people here are the nicest I’ve ever met in a big city. Everyone is super kind and understanding and I would never leave here.

  11. Barbara Eacock on August 13, 2022 at 12:00 am

I am glad Kansas city is a "fly over" area. KC is a wonderful place to live! We don’t care if we have to travel a bit. We have soooo many places to go and things to see both natural, historical cultural and social that I know we hold a great big candle to many other places. So, you haters, please do "fly over". We love not being over populated.

  15. Robert Lippman on August 13, 2022 at 12:05 am

The people here are extremely closed off to outsiders or people who move into the area from other parts of the country. If you haven’t gone to Mizzou or KU, you will be shut out academically, professionally, and socially. Your children will also be excluded. Until you’ve been here at least two generations, you’re not really accepted and included. My family moved here fifteen years ago from NY.

  29. Justin on August 13, 2022 at 12:24 am

I prefer the KCI airport over most other airports. Not happy they’re building a new airport. The parking is extremely close and way cheaper than other major airports. Have you been to LAX, Denver, Atlanta or any other airport? The small size makes navigating the airport easy and simple. Even with the longest lines it’s never taken me more than 30 mins to get through security. Again, have you been to LAX? This video regurgitated the developers talking points who are building the new airport. None are actually valid or justify the huge expense of the new airport.

I word of advice, which by the way has nothing to do with discrimination. I observe and base my opinions on the actions and behavior of an individual. I myself am of mixed race. Be very cautious with regards to who will be your neighbors. I am currently living near Indian computer engineering students. Ever since they moved in I have been having issues with my Wifi and computer network being hacked. Besides that, they like to save money and so they will fit about 4 people in a small 1 bedroom apartment. Which causes excessive noise at all hours. Additionally they like having phone conversations outside which usually tends to be in front of other tenants apartments which can cause a disturbance. When they use the laundry room they leave the clothes in the machines over night and do not clean up after themselves once they are done. Additionally, They are not very clean in general. Once a cat must have taken a dump near their front door and they never cleaned it up. This attacted flies in my home. It was a mess. By the way, generally speaking, they carry some kind of weird superiority complex. They think they are better than everyone, and they also think they should not have to pay for things. Don’t be fooled if the seem nice. I’d play it safe because when you sign a lease you are going to be stuck.

  35. Krissy Diggs on August 13, 2022 at 12:29 am

Though, KCI is a good airport. As a person who spent a lot of time traveling for work, I appreciate how efficient it is. You never have to worry about getting through the terminal on time. You can show up 30 min before your flight and still catch your plane.

I’ve lived in kansas for my whole life for now٫ and kansas is just so underrated. Kansas is amazing in my opinion!
It does have its pros and cons. And you’ll get used to all the cons there!

  43. Katie Hitesman on August 13, 2022 at 12:44 am

I’m living in Idaho currently, and will be moving to KC with my boyfriend at the end of the year. In fact, from everything I’ve seen, I’m beyond excited to move. I did a cost comparison rent is 60 5% cheaper and Kansas City than it is in Idaho right now. And that’s for one to two bedrooms alone. Not only that every single person that I have met from KC it’s so nice

  44. Dragon Dust on August 13, 2022 at 12:44 am

as someone who was born and raised in west phili- i mean kansas city in the suburbs i can say it is an amazing place and also your opinion shall be immediately proven wrong by us people from kansas city

  45. Lawrence Talbot on August 13, 2022 at 12:48 am

My old man used to say "All they raise in Kansas is sunflowers and sonsofbitches," I was actually born in Kansas City Kansas, I’ve always wanted to ask him about that. And being from there and living there for upwards of 35 years, my advice is DON’T. And between Kansas City Missouri and Kansas City Kansas, there’s no contest. If KC Mo can be considered a nice place with quality homes and decent neighborhoods, KC Ks would be the trailer parks and homeless encampments. Both parts of town have their nice parts but the Kansas side is obviously and clearly the seedy side of the city. KC Kansas is visibly the inferior. The Missouri side of town is the best the city has to show for itself. I’ve lived in all quarters of the place, I know what I’m talking about and I don’t give a damn whether anybody else likes it or not. That’s the Missouri Sonofabitch in me.
