Will Jesus RAISE The CREMATED?! (Here's what the BIBLE SAYS)

Will Jesus RAISE The CREMATED?! (Here's what the BIBLE SAYS)

In this video I’m answering the question;

Will Jesus raise the cremated?

Or another way of wording this is, what happens to those who were cremated at the resurrection of the second coming of Jesus Christ?

I’ll start off by saying that God has not given us any specific direction, revelation, or a direct command as to what happens to Christians who were cremated.

There is nothing in the bible to point to specifically to answer this question.

There are some verses we can point to for guidance, however, and this is also a topic I’ve discussed at great lengths within the Christian community before.

A verse I want to share with you is Genesis 3:19, which reads:

“….you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; for you are dust, and to dust you shall return.”

This verse is telling us that our physical bodies came from dust, and shall return to dust after death.

Whether that’s through cremation or just the general decomposition over time, it’s a clear message that it’s not the preservation of our physical bodies after death that matters.

After all, there are various things that can happen to bodies after death that are out of our control, too.

Another way I’ve heard this question answered before is simply that when
Jesus comes from heaven and metamorphosizes millions of bodies and works the miracle of resurrection, it’s hard to believe he doesn’t have the power to resurrect cremated bodies.

What happened after someone died according to the bible?

Cremation was practiced in biblical times, but it was not commonly practiced by the Israelites or New Testament believers.

In the culture of biblical times, burial was the most common way of resting a body after death.

Bodies were often laid to rest in tombs, as Jesus was buried, or in caves, and in the ground.

While burial was the most common practice, nowhere in the bible does is command burial as the only method of disposing of a body.

Do Christians believe in cremation?

Despite the bible not giving a command on whether or not we should cremate the dead, some Christians object to cremation.

They say that God will not be able to resurrect the body of someone who has been cremated and re-unite them with their souls and spirit.

I see some Christians pointing to 1 Corinthians 15:35-55 to make this point, which reads:

“It is the same way with the resurrection of the dead. Our earthly bodies are planted in the ground when we die, but they will be raised to live forever. Our bodies are buried in brokenness, but they will be raised in glory. They are buried in weakness, but they will be raised in strength. They are buried as natural human bodies, but they will be raised as spiritual bodies. For just as there are natural bodies, there are also spiritual bodies.”

However, as I already touched on, whether a body has been cremated or not, it’s no more difficult for God to resurrect that body and re-unite it with its soul.

What I say is that Christians who died and were buried thousands of years ago will be more than dust at this point, so how is that any different than being cremated?

I’ll end by saying that the question of cremation or burial is within the realm of Christian freedom, it’s a choice a person should make with the blessing of their loved ones.

Are you 100% absolutely, sure without a doubt that you are saved and on your way to heaven? There are all kinds of crazy cults, religions, churches and denominations out there that teach that a person cannot truly know for sure that they will go to Heaven until they die. They all seem to have their ritualistic props and practices that are supposed to help you get there; prayer mats, beads, confessional booths, candles, symbols, statues, wafers, holy water, garments, gibberish languages, unscriptural prayers, visions, NDE’s, baptismal tanks and the list goes on. If you follow their religion to a T, they still can’t guarantee you will make it. They can only offer you a "hope so" not a "know so" salvation. Their teaching is that when you die and stand before the Pearly Gates waiting for St. Peter to check the books, that hopefully your good will outweigh your bad and you will be granted entrance into the heavenly kingdom. Theirs is a false hope, a false gospel and they are calling God a liar because the Bible says:

These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. 1John 5:7

God said you can KNOW and He has made ONLY ONE WAY for the whole human race to get to Heaven and it is through JESUS CHRIST. All you have to do is meet His requirements and He promises you eternal life with Him. So what are His requirements?

    The answer is in the gospel. 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 3.For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4.And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

How do you get this eternal life? You admit that you are a sinner in need of Christ. The moment you believe and put your faith in Christ (not just a head knowledge, but a heart knowledge) and the blood He shed on the cross to pay for your sins and believe that He was buried and rose again the third day according to the scriptures, you are saved. You are justified by the blood of Jesus. You are protected by the blood of Jesus. You are rapture ready, which is going to happen very soon. You are sealed unto the day of redemption which means you cannot and will not ever lose your salvation. The Holy Spirit will dwell in you, speak to you, encourage you, guide you, teach you and change you if you let Him.

The Bible says in Ephesians 2: 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

It is a gift, you cannot earn it or be good enough for it. The only way to receive it is by faith.

I plead with you to trust the gospel and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved because we are not guaranteed another day on this Earth. You could be seconds away from entering eternity. Will it be heaven or hell?

Christians who were burned in a plane crash, or eaten by a shark, or burned to death in a war….. Nothing is impossible for God. to be absent from the body is to be present with God

Our Savior did NOT die on a Friday. You cant stay 3 days and 3 nights in the ground and end on Sunday He died in the middle of the week, (and was cut off) like the anti-messiah who imitates Him. and three says later ascended before the first of the week, staying asleep right through Sabbath. The Jewish days start at evening and end at evening. Watch on You tube the problem with Good Friday/Easter

Being cremated is just getting to dust faster than just buried in the ground

  11. @brianmichaels8053 on April 20, 2025 at 8:19 pm

What about those who are burned to death or Christians who were burned alive to death. To say the God who created the universe and everything in doesn’t have the power to raise a cremated body is to say God isn’t God!!!

  12. @frrus7327 on April 20, 2025 at 8:19 pm

Remember the body thats cremated would never have entered heaven anyway… we will receive a new body, so wether cremated or not, it wouldnt matter

  13. @ControversialChristian on April 20, 2025 at 8:24 pm

Our body is the vehicle in which we experience God’s creation. I believe the God that created every cell on our body can gather them or create our spirit body that can abide with Him in Heaven. The soul does not die as it is the immortal breath that God breated into us via Adam. It is the Word of God sealed within us before we are born. Creamation or barial either way we become dust.

  14. @Niki-im5yn on April 20, 2025 at 8:26 pm

It’s just a body not the soul

  15. @coolphil881 on April 20, 2025 at 8:27 pm

Of course he will because most in 2020 from covid didn’t have a choice to be buried they just burned bodies plus nothing in Bible said he wouldn’t same with tats and all on body just believe and love God fully our body is just dirt its our souls that matters how we treat and act to others only matters and living with God

  16. @andrea41970 on April 20, 2025 at 8:27 pm

From dust, Ducane, and from dust, you will go and your spirit will rise not your flesh

  17. @Thisisthelifeofzach on April 20, 2025 at 8:29 pm

People are here to see if there is something they can do to be saved from death. The answer is have faith in god- has nothing to do with cremation.

  18. @Lyndylupin on April 20, 2025 at 8:30 pm

Thank you so much. I was very confused about the right thing to do as a Christian, having heard arguments like "cremation is what the pagans did. We must resist this ungodly practice" We buried Mum for this reason but now I’m the only one living near enough to tend her grave. I didn’t want to give this problem for my distant (physically) family when I go. Now I feel at peace that cremation is ok.

  19. @AprilLovesDIY on April 20, 2025 at 8:31 pm

This is always made me afraid but my grandfather, who was a pastor his whole don’t like a Baptist preacher he got cremated so I feel like I should not worry because of that

  20. @jeanene72 on April 20, 2025 at 8:31 pm

Besides everything you said here, let’s be reminded of all those martyrs who were burned at the stake, or otherwise killed by fires. I Cor 13:3 " "And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing "And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing."

  21. @wayneenglish7673 on April 20, 2025 at 8:31 pm

Wow read your kjv ,on earth our bodies are dust BUT what did GOD do , he breathed life into the dust OUR SPIRIT which is what will be raised and transformed

  22. @cesca57 on April 20, 2025 at 8:33 pm

I didnt think to ask this but I just couldnt let a funeral home charge so much for a burial…so I decided to cremation…I couldnt see someone getting rich off of my death…funny thought but I am born again so I know where I am going…I dont worry about that. I just couldnt see paying so much for a burial or death of a body for so much money…I know God loves me and I know where I am going…heaven. I am a citizen of heaven my new last home and my name is in the book of life the book of the Lamb…and thats whats improtant. ARE YOU BORN AGAIN? IS YOUR NAME IN THE LAMBS BOOK OF LIFE? ACCEPT CHRIST TODAY RIGHT NOW AND MAKE SURE YOU ARE GOING TO HEAVEN.

  23. @kelkiewyn on April 20, 2025 at 8:34 pm

To be absent from the body is to be present with God. What happens to the body then is of no importance. We are already with God when we are cremated and nothing can prevent that!❤

  24. @nathanbeutler1059 on April 20, 2025 at 8:38 pm

How about someone that sinks in a ship that is a Christian and the fish eat him up well I guess God‘s gotta look for all those fish does it he?

  25. @luannefarmer on April 20, 2025 at 8:40 pm

I will never be cremated. I want burial only. Its just what I want as a Christian and ethnically a paternal descendant of Jews. I see cremation as pagan, But God can do anything he wants too concerning your body at the resurrection, so long as you die in the faith.
Historically, the father of the Reformation Martin Luther was excommunicated by Pope Leo X and 44 years after Luther’s death they exhumed his body and scattered his ashes far and wide , presumable so he would not be resurrected. But of course he will resurrected. And the martyrs of the early church that were burnt at the stake and the roman candles in the Colosseum ( Christian martyrs).Saint Catherine of Alexandria in the 4th century AD was burnt on the ‘Catherine wheel’ ( yes that they name a fire cracker after) after being horribly tortured by the Romans, they just couldn’t kill her so to finish her off they burnt her by spinning her on a wheel over a fire. Because of the symbolism of fire in the bible, I see it has a form of hell as it were.So I do not want to be put to the flames at my crossing over. In addition I feel that Christians today do not hold the body as sacred anymore. They believe the worldly lie that its not important, but it is for it is the body that will be resurrected not the inner man, that will always exist, but the body is the temple., as the bible teaches.Up until the mid 20th century it was virtual unheard of to be cremated in Christian countries. Buried in the church yard was the preferred burial , but burial whether in a church yard or a cemetery was the norm, even for non church goers. What changed, humanism , Darwinism and its lies. I have instructed my children to bury me as close to relatives as possible and under no circumstances am I to be cremated ( Viking pagan rite) or is an autopsy to be performed or embalming ( which are Egyptian pagan practices). But I also believe in the power of God to do anything for those gone before and the body totally destroyed. But he will have to create an totally new body from microscopic dust, whereas a burial provides the bones to work with. Like Adam was formed from the dust of the ground but Eve was formed from Adams bone, both possible with God . Those believers who have been cremated, well, they were ignorant of the real reason behind cremation or murdered that way and had no choice. But once you understand it ( as I do ) I believe you should avoid it if at all possible, because it is a pagan practice and an insult to our Church martyrs who suffer that way.

  26. @Monty-bi6mf on April 20, 2025 at 8:40 pm

Even if you’re buried, over time you return to dust.

  27. @jackrosario9990 on April 20, 2025 at 8:44 pm

Bones don’t return to dust actually. I thought god could do anything it seems that man’s simple mind wrote the Bible not god

  28. @steelonsteel2465 on April 20, 2025 at 8:46 pm

You are dust and to dust your shall return. Throw ashes on your head and repent. What do the ashes signify? God made us out of nothing. He only had to speak and we came into existence. He can speak and all your dna in dust will swirl and form you again.

  29. @76tennboy on April 20, 2025 at 8:47 pm

I mean, I think this is a stupid question because how many Christians were burned at the stake??

  30. @davidkwong3369 on April 20, 2025 at 8:48 pm

Got news for you! The dead have already risen! Thessalonians 4:13 says

13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

    Ecclesiastes 12:6-7
6 Or ever the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl be broken, or the pitcher be broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern.

7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

Once your flesh body gives up the spirit, it goes back to the maker! That is why if you saw the face of God it means you are dead! Your flesh is temporary, your soul is eternal!

  31. @Landoftrolls on April 20, 2025 at 8:49 pm

It is the living that cremated people not the dead body.

  32. @arthurwatt5162 on April 20, 2025 at 8:49 pm

The soul leaves the body upon death. The soul lay rest until that time or in a different spiritual realm until the time comes. ❤ by the way, who are christiy- ans. Lol

So some believe that He is in control of all creation, that He created the dust, then made us out of it, then brought us to life… but He wont be able to put the dust back together? I think they don’t think.

  40. @makeresolberg7311 on April 20, 2025 at 8:58 pm

Thank you for this video, which I found it to be very interesting. I believe it doesn’t matter whether one cremated ones body. It is only made as physical form from earth embodying the spirit within the physical body. Spirit can not be destroyed it lives on. Nothing is impossible for our Devine Father, the mighty of all above to create another body for those souls who were cremated or lost out sea, etc. etc. Blessings to you all❤❤

  44. @joyacolicol on April 20, 2025 at 8:59 pm
