Indeed, scrolling through social media is the thing that causes mental breakdown and quitting it can really have a positive impact on anyone’s life. As I person who quit Facebook 4 years ago and Instagram 1 and half year ago I can say I have been experiencing that positive impact.

everybody does that and everybody is obsessed with what people think of them, that’s why they post attractive pictures of themselves, or music that makes them look interesting and worth it and they post what they do on their day because everybody wants everyone to know that their lives are interesting, worth it and they are worth anything whatsoever. It destroys self confidence, makes you a person who looks for constant approval and validation and it’s cringe. No one should be doing that, except maybe if you’re a public figure or a businessman or something. In that case, social media can be beneficial for you.

I love the English accent and I wish I had it. But anyway, I’ve never even logged in or peaked at Instagram ever in my 45 times around the sun.

Paints people "looking for help" in the WRONG light. Doctors gaslight people in danger all the time because of this brainswash!!

Wow! That’s what I am doing right now on my social media on taking a break. Mine is not cause of scrolling but making sure not get scammed (the problem of seeing websites and click it but it’s something I am trying to learn of my mistakes) so decided to step away from it. Already 3 days now not seeing my Facebook and Instagram. How I am feeling? Woah hard to say like has a different feel and in should I go back to social media or not or just do I feel I post and delete it again so I don’t get too attached.

Good call by Tom. IMO social media was specifically designed to mess with our psyche, both the individual and the collective, particularly young people.
