I agree with what you said except for the idea that " people die and go to heaven". This idea is not biblical. People go into the sleep state as books of ecclesiastics and psalms say. In fact, the very idea of resurrection that happens at the second coming of Christ affirms the idea that after death no one goes into heaven. Without this flesh being laid down and resurrected or transformed into the newness as was Christ resurrected into newness after His resurrection, no one can go to heaven. That being the reason only Christ can take us, and so he will come again. Book of Thessalonians 4:16-17 affirms it. Else it will be so redundant for Christ to come back, if everyone died and went to heaven! In fact, during Christ’s earthly ministry, for the first time Christ entered heaven was only after He resurrected. Resurrection is not just about the body, but the fulfilment of the new covenant when sinful nature in flesh is defeated and the image of God is restored by Christ at his second coming, so we can be united with God.
