It’s a humble way to look at it, I guess it works as a stand point.

CALLED THE BIBLE BORING HOW LOST CAN U BE LOST SHEEP

  5. @alchemenergyacademy6231 on May 19, 2025 at 9:19 pm

I think it’s important for people to understand that the Old Testament is about the stiff neck people who were repeatedly called and disciplined while promising a redeemer Messiah in the future. And the New Testament is a fulfillment of that prophecy and the life of our Messiah. When people understand that the Old Testament is filled with prophecies of the Messiah and types and shadows of the Messiah, then it has deep meaning all the way through.

    Just read!!!
It feeds and transforms you into God image.
Change your hard heart to a soft one even if you font understand it. It doesn’t chang the fact that you’re eating good spiritual food, and you’ll still get the benefit anyway.

  7. @crystaldoyley580 on May 19, 2025 at 9:22 pm

But I think you need to have a good enough understanding of what your reading to digest and implement it in your own life, can someone elaborate?

Pastor Johnny’s explanations are so simple yet so powerful

  9. @dennistucker9081 on May 19, 2025 at 9:28 pm

Nice man. However, the Bible *is* about understanding —*and* love. Here’s how: The first great commandment is quoted by Jesus: Thow shalt love the Lord Thy God, with all Thy heart, and all Thy soul, and all Thy mind.” — Matthew, Chapter 22, v. 37. It is followed with this, also a declaration of Jesus’: “And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love Thy Neighbor as Thyself.” So, you, see, the message of the New testament especially, *is* about love, but including the mind (understanding). A prayer: Dear God, help us honor and cherish your including the capacity to love when you created us. Help us accept the love which comes from the heart, the soul (spirit), *and* the mind. DT, M.S.M.

Matthew 13:19 "When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in their heart."

  11. @ProperDentist on May 19, 2025 at 9:32 pm

Saying don’t try to understand it is a bit of an overstatement. You definitely want to TRY to understand and interpret the messages that God has left for us. But if people can’t understand the Word at times, myself included, that is okay. But to totally dismiss trying is not the right idea. In my respectful opinion.

Kids get easily distracted and bored. They will put down the Bible by genesis 5 or 9 by reading cover to cover
As a Christian one of my favorite verses is John 3:16 because I think it’s a great summary of Christianity. The Old Testament happens thousands of years before Jesus, the center of our religion.
In my opinion if you are a new to the Bible, read something that catches your attention. There are many great stories in the old testament that if it get you interested please read it. But as a Christian I recommend reading the gospel learning about the person who sacrificed his life for yours and how the only way to god is through him. To do that you have the read Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.
When Jesus was on the cross he quoted psalm 22, so go read psalms. The old and New Testament are connected it’s studying the Bible with the Bible I find that very fun and interesting.
The point is to get kids interested into reading the whole bible and reading it cover to cover can be very discouraging for a kid. On a long car ride they always ask “are we there yet?” They will be saying the same thing reading the Old Testament waiting for the hero Jesus to be mentioned.

  13. @bernardoestupinan1526 on May 19, 2025 at 9:33 pm

I disagree people who read the old testament and don’t know the gospels and Jesus teachings take some stuff too literal or never make it. Start at the gospels. Learn Jesus his teachings, pray for his eyes and ears a heart like his. Learn the sermon on the mount and go back to the 10 commandments and just study his teachings first then skip through wherever the spirit leads you

  17. @Wopaapaa on May 19, 2025 at 9:40 pm

It’s not about understanding, it’s a leap of faith for the credulous. Should you really trust anyone who says “you don’t need to understand”?

  18. @femi_solo3064 on May 19, 2025 at 9:40 pm

HOLY SPIRIT GIVES WISDOM AND UNDERSTANDING YOUR SPEECH IS NOT SOUND IN DOCTRINE PLUS U NEED TO GET RID OF ALL THOSE TATTOOS.

  19. @TeneshaLeigh on May 19, 2025 at 9:41 pm

Wise words from the Holy Spirit through Myron Golden "God doesnt care tyat you get through the bible in a year so much as the bible getting THROUGH TO YOU" John and Myron said the same thing just said it differently definitely the Holy Spirit speaking throygh them! I really like the way everything was worded here, but i have a question
What about the verses commanding us to pray and meditate on the scripture we read?

  26. @albertburke9594 on May 19, 2025 at 9:48 pm

I tell people the same thing. Except I mean the Gospel of John. "In the beginning was the Word….

  27. @S1L3NT1 on May 19, 2025 at 9:49 pm

Wait, if you’re reading not to understand….how do you know anything about the word of God? lol

  28. @dennistucker9081 on May 19, 2025 at 9:50 pm

Everyone is a little different. The standard recommendation from the holy men of history is to start with the book of John, as its language and concepts are easier to grasp than the other Gospels’. But if someone likes the oldest history of all, and wants to know how “it” all began, there is certainly nothing wrong in starting with Genesis. Just be prepared for quite many strange words and terms, plus Bible names from some ancient languages, as well as long lists of instructions here and there. It’s a great book, no matter where you start. But some starting points make more sense than others for most people.

    Pure wisdom

  30. @Jflex24 on May 19, 2025 at 9:50 pm

Wait but, at school I hated not grasping what I was reading. I had to understand it otherwise I’d be reading just to read. So you’re saying to this w the Bible?? I’m trying to understand what I need to.. idk this is why I’m 31 and have been so hesitant to just open a Bible up n read it

  31. @alexh7064 on May 19, 2025 at 9:52 pm

Just start reading and God will take care of the rest

  32. @iBlessMyOpps on May 19, 2025 at 9:54 pm

The gospels is where new readers should start. You will learn about Jesus then you can rewind and go to the beginning

  33. @LogeyDogeyOficial on May 19, 2025 at 9:57 pm

This guy is a false teacher 100% he literally preaches against repentance. He literally says that Christian should not say sorry to God anymore.

  34. @SpaceeAngell on May 19, 2025 at 9:57 pm

It will come with time. The Holy Spirit may begin to reveal to you on the 1st read or the 21st read. Everyone is different and that is okay. Do not lean on your own understanding, so read to read and the Lord will do His part and allow you to understand through His spirit

  35. @TheHumbleGrumble1987 on May 19, 2025 at 9:57 pm

This guy is a cool person but Christianity actually has a rich, intellectual, theological history that goes back to the apostles. God does want to increase in our understanding; he wants to be known. The apostolic faith is glorious and beautiful and incredibly intellectually stimulating… to find that you need to dig deeper than American preachers sharing their modern opinions..

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge

  37. @lettersandwordsandstuffs on May 19, 2025 at 10:00 pm

The easiest way to read the bible is to know its all bs from the start and that if there is a real god hopefully its better than jesus and the evil ass bible

    Amen

  39. @POLISHEDGRAVEL on May 19, 2025 at 10:01 pm

Actually by now you should start at the end. Because we are already living the end days. Plus this guy is obsessed with the amount of times he has read the bible cover to cover and it has made him erregant. He mentions it in every video ive watched. It doesnt mater how many times you read it. It matters if your walking the walk not just talking about the walk

  40. @andsoitgoes1142 on May 19, 2025 at 10:02 pm

I disagree. It is very easy to find help in understanding bible verse. There are many commentary apps online. Or just google the verse you are having a problem with. It is important to read comments from different scholars so that you can see where there is agreement between them. Pray on these verses so that God will help you. I know that this takes time, but you will be blessed for your effort.
