Each passing of the baton from one prelate to the next one is surrounded by wonder, suspicion, conspiracy, dire prophecies and a combination of fear and hope. No set of conclaves were more beset by conspiracy, than the two conclaves that happened in rapid succession in the year 1978. I’m an old man but by no means an experiencer of the totality of the last two thousand years. You will not find salvation in religion…. You will not find truth nor eternal life in any religion. These things exist only within yourself… And only you can unlock them.
Christianity is not a death cult that idolizes suffering, but rather the belief that Jesus Christ (God in a bod) defeated death and lives today to nullify human sin and offer us eternal life.
Jesus said, “I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” Jesus also declared that “I and the Father are one.”
Therefore, if God the Father exists and Jesus was telling the truth, then we must also accept his stated purpose (John 3:16) that he came to save us from ourselves. Faith, repentance and an ongoing relationship with Jesus thus becomes the only path to everlasting life with our creator.

By the way, when I wrote the script—and even when I first published it—it was before the conclave. Now, a new Pope has already been elected: Leo XIV.
The new Pope is seen as a successor to Pope Francis in terms of ideas and is aligned with his predecessor’s legacy through the name he chose, Leo XIII. In this way, the new Pope fulfills all the prophecies. He will affirm that God is a God of all, and not an exclusive god, which consequently—especially for the more orthodox—will be seen as denying the death of Jesus as a means of salvation.
The orthodox will see in this Pope an Antichrist, a false Pope!
Perhaps this is the beginning (or just the continuation) of the dismantling of blind and doctrinal faith.
