A great book to read in spring is The Easter Bible Study: Understanding the Resurrection of Jesus Christ in 12 Weeks by David Hensley. This book devotes 3 weeks each to 4 topics: our need for redemption, the death of Jesus, the victory of the Resurrection, and our response to redemption. Each week is about one Bible verse, covering its historical context, authorship, chapter context, breakdown of the original language, supporting verses, theology, and practical applications. There are also questions and answers. I highly recommend it.
