Miracles, just like you read about in your bible, can and do happen today, but most don’t make the news. God wants to answer your specific prayers with definitive, specific answers. I have personally witnessed many real miracles, but I can’t say I ever prayed for a miracle. Some fault me that God would work a miracle. But I reply that, "Is it better to trust man or God?" Most would say, "God. So, if I have a need and I go to my prayer closet, can we fault God if He chooses to answer my prayer openly with a miracle?
The reason “miracles” don’t happen anymore is because “miracles” (aka—magic) never happened because there’s no such thing.
Less gullibility, maybe?
I pray for those who have a disease that causes them to not see God and His purpose for what it truly is to be healed. I am one of those people unfortunately. I suffer from thinking that is distant from reality, not seeing reality for what it is. I’ve had delusions about my origins, about the people around me, about historical events… Some delusions were accusatory, some were laughable, some were downright outrageous. Being able to distinguish what is true v.s. what is false is a miracle, and I pray for it to guide my next actions that my actions are honored by others and that I am not mocked at or scoffed at or gossiped about or made to feel less than, or be constantly belittled or told that I’m wrong or told that I don’t add up. Basically actions that lead to less suffering. But then again, that’s what Jesus went through and those stones were cast in the Bible. But seriously I don’t think I’m equipped for the madness I look to heal. Some people subjectively, in my eyes, have it worse than me, so I truly should just make my next action and not complain. But I’d rather be in communication in the best way I can with God, and hope for the best outcome. It’s not others’ approval of me that shows how deep God’s love and future for me is. I will face trials and anger. I pray for faith. I’m stubborn in that I will reject anything except prayer when I have no other obligations (prayer is the biggest obligation) because I’m trying to just live this life without loss of security for the most part. Prayer is safe to me. It doesn’t cause me to use my body and fail. Take action in that sense. I have hope that the Holy Spirit will inspire my next action. I pray for all souls. Amen.
Who is he? Can i know??
Pray I find my phone, its been lost a few hours. Not in my home or my car…help St Jude.. i need miracles and I look for them and they seek me. Yes they f8nd me. I pray for others to have miracles. Another Apparation Lord I pray right now….
I believe miracles are still happening. We’re just not hearing about them because everyone seems to be in tune with what’s happening in the world. We are not to walk by sight !
Believe in miracles!
My life has been filled with miracles. The key is to live your life trying to do God’s will and then say your will not mine. Let God pick the miracles. I still ask for things but I don’t expect to get everything I ask for but at this late state of my life, God knows what is best for me.
Indeed, God indeed exists and continues to perform miraculous acts. God has graciously revealed extraordinary events to me, and I have been deeply impacted and sometimes I ask myself why God chooses to send my love one to see me and to halt time for me.
I heard Gavin McGuiness say that his understanding of God’s existance hit him in a flash when he looked at his newborn baby’s foot. He said that it is a miracle for this thing to exist. How could the ankle and foot form come into existance in all its perfect intricacies without being designed by God. HE is in every bit of nature and truely reveals himself in it.
The fact that we are alive, watching you on a tiny little computer called a phone, that came from another country, made from materials that came out of the dirt… is a miracle
I am a miracle a hole in my hear healed 1967 May 1 . The week before I had Xrays same heart still had a hole. In 1 week no hole in my heart. I was healed!!!!
I saw a angel 2 years ago the next day i was free from weed
Miracles dont happen because cameras exist now. How convenient
They don’t happen now because there are too many cameras. They have NEVER happened and never will. It is a figment of the believers imagination and they somehow need to cling to it to help justify their belief
6:19 Miracles happen everyday, here, there and everywhere. I wrote a book on modern day miracles called Tossing Mountains. In the Old Testament, the four big miracle workers were Moses, Elijah, Elisha & Daniel. Joshua had a few. God spoke to lots like Abraham, David and Isaiah. New Testament, a bunch more miracles in a shorter space of time. I’ve had plenty of miraculous events in my own life. You know about Fr. Ralph DiOrio. The gifts of the Holy Spirit, like in 1 Cor. 12 completely abound.
I was reading about the story of st Fastina and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy and how she as required to go through a psychiatric evaluation. She passed, of course, but there are people who have "experiences" and end up on a shrink’s couch. My friend had a mystical experience and that happened to her. She made sure never to tell anyone again. SO SAD because what she told me was very beautiful.
Thanks for this video, Fr. Mike!
May God continue to bless you more every day, your words are always touching!
I learned this john 3:2, mark 16:20 hebrews 2:3-4, 1corintians 12, 1corintians 13:8-9, 2timothy 3:16, acts 2, acts 19, acts 8, acts 8:14, romans 1:11, 2timothy 1:6. From what i learn there is no living apostles to pass it on.
Miracles happen all the time. Sometimes it’s the miracle we need, not want.
Miracles happen all the time, everyday.
There are a lot of miracles but people don’t realise it…Look at the different pictures on the sky GOD painted…PRAY TO YOU LORD JESUS CHRIST
Hello, Fr.
“Faith lifts the soul, hope supports it, experience says it must, and love says, let it be!”
– Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton
A Blessed Deed
One cold winter day in December 1975, while my 29-year-old husband was at work, he passed out during a coughing spell and was taken to the hospital. He was given a chest X-ray that showed something unusual, so he was admitted, and an emergency biopsy was ordered. The results showed that he had Stage 4 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, which is advanced cancer of the lymph glands, and that he probably had only a year to live. The doctors said his chances of survival were not good, even with aggressive chemotherapy and radiation, but we hoped for a miracle.
However, before he passed away, not only did he leave me traces along the way of his departure, but he also left me with a deed of how I was to live through the years without him. It wasn’t a deed to a house or financial inheritance, but it was much more than that, it was a blessed deed from Our Lord, Jesus Christ. There was a time when I kept some of these truths to myself for fear of being misunderstood, while they were my comfort and saving grace for the next 40 years. They helped and guided me to remarry and fully be obedient to God, and to the service of my new family with grace and gratitude. I’m certain that all souls are still aligned with us on this side of time to love and guide us. His words and these experiences are echoed in story after story from loved ones left behind. This reflection echoes our Sacred Scriptures with the visions of St. Paul, James, Luke, John, Corinthians 15: 42-45, Revelations, “All pain will come to an end.”
One night in his hospital bed, I was asleep on the chair next to him; he told me that he had a visit and conversed with two extraordinary figures. I asked him, "What figures?" He said, "They came into the hospital to tell me something. They told me they were coming back at 4 p.m., to take me to a place to heal my lungs." He further said, "They are much more advanced than our world. They speak the word telepathically and know how to heal everything!" I listened halfheartedly at the time and never gave his words another thought that they were truly Angels, other than he must be imagining things.
Days later, we were sitting in his hospital room. It was during his final hours, and we were alone. He’d been staring into space for a time, and then he began to cry. But suddenly, even as his tears fell, he said clearly, "Honey, look! Do you see?" I followed his eyes, straining to see what he saw, but I could see nothing. And yet, his eyes were fixed on something. Then he cried, "Aww, I see Christ, all shiny and bright!" Again, I looked but saw nothing, and was startled by a slight tap on my shoulder, but no nurse was there. With my heart pounding, I ran out of the room to the nurses’ station, wanting to know what kind of medication they were giving him to have these visions! They said he wasn’t on any pain medications due to his shallow breathing.
At exactly 4 p.m., while I momentarily stepped out of his room, he passed away. But after the doctors brought me the sad news, for an instant, I saw him in the hall with me. And at another instant, after the funeral, I glimpsed him watching over my 5-year-old sleeping daughter when I went into her room to check on her. I truly suppose that nothing is a coincidence in this life. As I read God’s miracles, and those from the Saints, I realized these were blessed encounters that happened in 1976. I remain certain that it was intended for me to see and hear these sacred mysteries that the Holy Spirit continues to whisper on every page of the Gospels. We must walk the road that Christ Himself walked, the way of love, poverty, obedience, service, and sacrifice, even to death. Just as I witnessed my first young husband completely occupy his short life with incredible deeds of love, service, and sacrifice to everyone, just like Jesus, in front of me. Amen.
Miracle or Skepticism 2023
(Sacrifice and Holy Encounter After 40 Years)
“For this, I was born for, for this I came into the word.”
“Everyone who is of the truth hears my voice.”
– John 18-37
In 2023, something miraculous happened. I saw Jesus watching over me when I was asleep. If it wasn’t a dream, what was it? I woke up from my sleep, opened my eyes, and saw Christ’s beautiful face with eyes aglow that I was speechless. He gently changed, not turning away, but His face and eyes faded in my now awakened state.
He was letting me know He’s still here for all of us! I never told anyone, not even my children, but I now feel He is always with me. I wanted to share this but didn’t know how and didn’t want to bring attention to being favored because I’m not. I found solace with Him alone – writing in prayer, for His words, for others to feel His love and Presence, asking, what am I to do now? I didn’t hear Him say anything. But I am more peaceful with His powerful harmony of Silence. It is a sign of His Presence – we’re together in perfect adoration.
I believe with all my heart it was Jesus. It wasn’t my mother’s, father’s, or husband’s face, it was Jesus’s. Was this a dream or real makes all the difference in the world this is a miracle.
I didn’t tell anyone because I waited for the right words to explain. It was natural for me to share the miraculous story of my first husband’s vision of Jesus from his hospital bed before he died. That was well over 40 years ago!
But for Jesus Christ to come to me, reminds me of my young soul’s unworthiness of not knowing what suffering was, which was first shown to me 40 years ago, by my young suffering husband. Some people say they never suffered! Some are much more devout, yet they say they don’t feel God’s presence anywhere but only in a church. (?) Why would someone like me, not as worthy feel Him everywhere now? Then it must be my heavy cross and sacrifices that changed this suffering into a beautiful love, that is, God’s mercy on me, God’s perfect timing, God’s love is constant and has meaning intended especially for you and me.
Perhaps I had to suffer more trials before Jesus showed me his face. Perhaps it’s not the end until we suffer more and learn from Him and Trust. I pray to learn them well. Our Blessed Lord Jesus being tortured suffered so much more than any of us can imagine, makes me want to bury myself in His arms, never let go, show Him my love, and thank Him for loving me so much to come to see me. Amen.

God still makes miracles… I have witnessed physical healing, my uncles friend given full recovery of severely dammaged shoulder, and answered prayers such as this past Easter, my son and his wife have been trying to buy a house for many months, their current lease was running out, and due to God arranged circumstances, we went to look at a home they were interested in and the builder dropped the price for that house to their price range that day! They applied for it and on Easter Sunday they were informed they had been accepted! Trust in the Lord and His timing.
In my personal life two absolute miracles: one – the mole disappeared before our eyes on my son’s leg. I have photos . Another one my husband fully healed from disease when he felt tremendous heat touch him through entire body and symptoms disappeared fully. In each occasion NO ONE prayed at those miraculous moments or laid hands. God did it!
Respectfully Father Mike, this does not answer my question.
The latest scientific examination and interpretation of the Shroud of Turin showing that it could not have been produced by medieval technology is a miracle that is only proven by 21st century science. That is a miracle.
Why don’t they? They never did.
The "miracles happen all the time" response is a non-starter for me. When someone asks "why don’t miracles happen today," they obviously aren’t talking about "waking up every day" and "breathing" and "enjoying the sun" and "playing with our children." They’re talking about a paralytic man who is told to get up, walk and carry his bed. They’re talking about turning water into wine. They’re talking about rubbing dirt on a blind man and making him see. Any reference to "just watching my new born baby come into this world was a miracle" serves as a complete side-step or "punt" on the question.

Modern medicine is a miracle. My father is getting eye treatment that is preventing blindness. And brain medicine to slow Alzheimer’s. To me that is a miracle. A doctor close friend just had 5 bypass surgery. He’s alive for his wife my friend and his family. That is a miracle. Look around my loves. And the flowers are blooming. Happy spring.
God does
miracles. They aren’t big media events like parting the Atlantic so I can get to France. No , they’ve been small, personal miracles .
– After a very bad motorcycle wreck, I was being wheeled into have some scans of my internal organs. I heard a voice/ thought. It asked " Do I want to live?" I said "yes!"
Two months later I was alive in physical therapy. The dkctors had originally told my family I had only five days to live.
Miracles do happen I think pears scared to report them
Another thing might be, think about what kind of miracle you would need to convince someone who is deadset to brush off everything as a coincidence, foul play or "some natural phenomenon science doesen’t fully understand yet".
There is no convincing those who are unwilling to believe. So why bother?
I found it best to add the caveat " if this be Your Will" or "if this is best for my salvation" when petitioning Our Lord for something I want… Then if I recieve a "no" I realize God has a better plan for me. God showed me this years ago when I was young and hoped to marry this man, the relationship did not work out. I married a different man , who was the love of my life. About 30+ years later I met the first man again, and we shared our stories, I was soooo grateful to God He had spared me from pairing up with that man! God knew best!
I witness many miracles-
They do. All we have to do is look for them in our lives. When I remember all those times that I was protected by God I am in awe. While I was in my alcoholic disease for 11 years, I look back and see so many times God protected me. I’m still in awe.
How old are you? Mid 30s? You are a GROWN MAN playing "let’s pretend". You’re wasting your life talking about fairies and ghosts.
Please answer this question. What are christianity view on telepathy, and what is your view on it? What could you say about people that feel and can heal energy like bioenergetics, I am not talking about witchcraft practicioners but people that seem to have such gift that never practiced anything that would be related to witchcraft or prohibited practices of christianity?
Miracles happen everyday.
The fact that I am writing this is a God’s miracle and I’m not even trying to be funny. I should have died (as a normal physical human) at least 6 times and years ago. I don’t think I have a purpose, can’t see it, but if I’m still here it most be because The Lord has something for me to do
Miracles happen every day. Every day is a miracle. Do not seek miracles because seeking miracles every day is bad attachment.
At times we search so hard for the big miracles that we don’t see the small ones right in front of our own eyes.
They do.
