How Faith Healers Fool You

How Faith Healers Fool You

Why do miracles work sometimes? When a faith healer causes your pain to go away, what’s really going on? Explore the science of faith healing and the psychological tricks that preachers use to convince you that you’ve been miraculously healed. Today former-evangelical actress and author Alice Greczyn joins me to uncover the secret tricks of faith healers and how they use your brain against you. What is the neuroscience behind faith healings? Are you really being healed, or is there a psychological explanation?

Why should the rest of civilized society put up with such obvious scam artists?

  2. @3373-g8z on February 26, 2025 at 6:21 pm

Funny how these people claim Freemasonry is Satanic! Don’t hear about the Masonic Lodge using tiny receivers in their ears. Or begging for $$, in between constantly lying to people. Christians just can’t stop lying! Claim evil is everywhere, EXCEPT in themselves!

  3. @TooCringeToAssociateWith on February 26, 2025 at 6:22 pm

You dont even have to be skeptical its just such obvious bs

  4. @ruthtirado2750 on February 26, 2025 at 6:22 pm

UNLESS THERE IS OUTRIGHT HERESY DENYING CHRISTS DEITY AND THE RESURRECTION, every ministry has seen countless people saved, healed and blessed. To everything there is a season. Don’t you guys have anything better to do??? Can’t we just let God ALONE be the Righteous Judge? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE SHUT UP AND STOP DIVIDING THE CHURCH! Is God big enough or does He need your help??? Crickets

  5. @mariodebeer on February 26, 2025 at 6:22 pm

I just want to let everyone know benny hinn and people in this movement are NOT Christians!!!!!!!!!!!These are all pagans disguised as Christians. This is unfortunately the reason people turn away from Christ.
    God bless.

  6. @verbena208 on February 26, 2025 at 6:23 pm

Though many Christians would never admit, Christ himself speaks out against faith healers and charlatans. In fact in Matthew chapter 25 he equates them with scavengers picking at a carcass. All of these faith healers had better hope that their God isn’t real because he might have a few choice words for them

  7. @JimShubin on February 26, 2025 at 6:24 pm

It is unfortunate that the presenters of this video are equating faith healers, which are among the same pentecostals that speak in false tongues, with true orthodox Christianity. This video could have easily been made by former Mormans or Jehovah’s Witnesses who believed they were following true Christianity as well. But these people were raised in the Pentecostal cult. It is all they knew, and were not actually seeking Christ when they left Pentecostalism.

  8. @RamblinRick_ on February 26, 2025 at 6:25 pm

I have a friend who absolutely despises and fears cults. However, she belongs to one…the cult of Benny Hinn. She flies all over the country to listen and see him preach is BS. Wastes thousands of dollars every year for travel expenses to attend. But, she denies she a cult follower.

  9. @LifeInSouthFL on February 26, 2025 at 6:26 pm

The bible warns of False Teachers and as a Christian, I can say without a doubt that Benny Hinn, Rodney Howard Browne, Kenneth Hagin, Kenneth Copeland are preaching a false prosperity gospel. They are doing a lot of harm to the name of Christ but Gods word tells us that men like these would come. That is why we do not throw out the baby with the bath water.

Faith healing is a joke, absolute hogwash.people have a general need to be brainwashed .love it when they are being conned .people allow themselves to be mugged for their money.

  11. @JesusRodriguez-kd8es on February 26, 2025 at 6:31 pm

They do the same with addicts and alcoholics. Rather than try to convince a person with mental health issues and substance use to seek professional help, they claim it can be healed. I’m going to be putting in my novel a part of my life where some stupid church told me I was evil rather than helping me to get help. It’s always great to see the old members who left that church actually live life after the brainwash.

We did this faith healing nonsense in the Mormon church.
I both gave and received faith healings on numerous occasions.

To be fair to the Mormons, their version isn’t as off the wall insane with the screaming and dancing and babbling nonsense like these nutjobs.
Their’s are typically much more sober, usually just a couple of people in private, praying over the individual, and certainly not for direct pay. (Other than the tithing requires to be in good standing with the church.)

It’s not like the Mormon version is any more "real" or "true’ than this circus show, but at least they take it seriously and treat it as something "sacred."
And they tyoically don’t promote it as an actual replacement for medical attention when required.

They’re still completely wrong, of course, but this stuff is just off the wall crazy nonsense.

If God wants you in heaven, why would he delay your arrival? Why would you want it delayed if that is your ultimate goal?

  20. @TooCringeToAssociateWith on February 26, 2025 at 6:50 pm

Not sure how someone could fall for something so obviously fraudulent. There is no agree to disagree and just accept everyones beleifs. If you are delusional enough to believe this you are a danger to the rest of society.

The question is who found out that the body was working like that in the church? When did it start to be used? Are this "pastors" being trained during their seminars?

And these Americans vote for a President etc -very scary !!!

  34. @greenleaf4267 on February 26, 2025 at 7:05 pm

your positive thoughts can generate high vibrations, prompting your body to release beneficial enzymes and hormones. When you release these feelings of faith, joy, and love with purity and gratitude, there’s a significant potential to amplify the effects of these enzymes. This approach can often be more effective than relying solely on pharmaceutical interventions.

It’s a truth that Jesus emphasized, but many have been misled by temptations like power, greed, and pride. Even those capable of great things can be derailed by negative influences, leading to confusion and doubt. So, it’s crucial to discern between genuine spiritual practices and superficial distractions."

I once watched a segment from The 700 Club about a boy who was miraculously "cured" of his autism. When you watch the interview with him, though, you can very clearly see that he’s not neurotypical. The only difference is that he has learned to better compensate for any challenges his condition causes him.

Your channel is wonderful. I grew up in a Pentecostal church that did faith healings but until I found this channel there wasn’t any other source that I found which could so accurately relay back to me what I experienced. This video in particular describes what I went through to a tee.

I never experienced a faith healing myself in 20 years going to that GD church, which helped me stay skeptical and eventually escape. I’m mildly autistic as well which is probably why based on the information in this video, and obviously that was never cured either.

Thank you for the work you do. It’s so helpful and informative for people like me.
