I’m definitely in a gluttony phase right now. I have gained 20lbs. My doctor said she thought I had blood cancer. She has never been wrong. So I went home and immediately began eating in do not have blood cancer but I do have blood disease that means I can have many different kinds of cancer at any time. I have to have blood work done every 3 to 6 months. I’m still eating idk how to stop. Lord help me please!
What about stuff to do with the mind? Like pride and envy and wrath, how does one learn to deny these?

The Bible says that if we live by the Spirit we will not fulfill the lists of the flesh. The early church did not have a bible to read daily so they could not do what modern preachers are telling us to do, the early church was filled with the Spirit and walked with the Spirit of God. Most seminaries don’t understand the true meaning of being filled with the Spirit so they fill the minds of their students with church doctrine and give them scripture to back up their teachings. Jesus wants a relationship with you. We read about this in the Bible but He is a real person, not just words on a page in a book. The Bible gives us inspiration on how to find Jesus but you have to call on Him to know Him for yourself.

I agree, be filled with the word. But be filled with the Spirit first, obviously. But also, dealing with sin in my own life, God spoke to me today after I had spent four days reading the Bible for hours and praying as well, that in order to overcome my specific temptation I needed to fast. I was wondering why I had fallen to temptation after fighting it off for days, and the Lord brought to my remembrance immediately, “For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again” and told me to rise and to also fast. The answer was not in the word alone, but specifically for me to fast. So anyone dealing with temptation and sin and trying to break free from bondage, read, pray, but ask the lord to show you the way of escape for your sin. “No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.”

I’m battling lust and I fall short but my heart n soul is crying to stop until marriage but it’s like I’m an angel in a world full of young lustful demons and they just find me
I overcame masturbation(tho luckly i was never good at it so i never even got close to the edge so it wasn’t that tempting,and i only started and it wasn’t a habit yet before i stopped). But yeah God does help me resist it, physically i still get very strong cravings but i manage to bare them and not give in.(I look forward to one day when i am married and i can finally get what my body wants tho)

Run from it. Deny entry points. No porn, movies, worldly music, sensual clothing or fabrics, no fantasies ( focus on the word and promises of God), or any other sexually charged situations. Do your part and then pray for help and you will see how "easy"it will become".

This is true this is so true .15 years of prayer and asking forgiveness I witnessed this. I was having trouble with alcohol and I kept praying and failing and praying and falling. So finally I’m alcohol free by the grace Of Jesus and God. A spiritual force has made my body rebuke alcohol, I hate alcohol it’s gross and makes me sick ,just thinking of it . Who could do this but by the grace of God and his son Jesus christ. The sky is the limit when it comes to God and what he cam do . Praise God thankyou Jesus Hallelujah amen
I’ve been baptized but a few days later I’m falling to sin again… I’ve been falling for months until now but this day I remembered the last movie scene of "Beef" (Correct me if I’m wrong) which was a man that I think it’s his first time there (I didn’t watch the whole movie just the last scene) when he comes in the worship team started playing Come to the Altar and it made me cry, I’m deciding to go to the path God was trying to show me…. I can’t make it through alone but ik that God won’t leave me until I walk to the right path….. I was lost but God made a way again for me to come back to Jesus! PRAISE GOD! ✝️
