So basically this is the Brad Jones movie Brad Jones never made but always wanted to, consolidating both skepticism over the industry of Christian Media and genuine appreciation for the value babies in the nonsense bathwater. Also, one of these days, you’re going to have to issue a motivational calendar so we can learn how you never stop never stopping.

Wow. Now we know what it feels like when the priest flicks Holy Water at you. Thank you so much, Brad!

I remember watching fireproof, but i don’t remember it being so much of a religious aspect, if anything i thought it was a romantic drama more than anything, with the whole steps to recover a marriage and family and all, but i don’t remember it showing much of a religious aspect.

I’ll rent the movie soon so thanks for the recommendation. I love a good cheesy Christian movie. I’m waiting for the Beckham review too. It’s a hilariously bad Christian movie.

Alex Winter gave this movie some support while also hyping Face the Music. I wasn’t interested before, but I might just check it out after all.

you know the Christian movie industry has failed when a satire of same has a better message

‘Faith based’ more like ‘Faith? Based.’

Does the fact that the main leads look like Kirk Cameron and his brother in Saving Christmas play any role in the movie? XD

Brad may not be a member in the Christian movie audience but, I do love his Christian movie reviews.

This kind of reminds me of “Be Kind. Rewind” where you think it’s going to be about two guys making fake movies because the tapes got erased and instead you get this heartwarming story about a neighborhood coming together to save their block from gentrification.

Jeebus, religion the world’s oldest con.

  19. @wjzav1971 on April 20, 2025 at 8:53 pm

I honestly wonder if the people who made this, saw Jesus Bro.

Lisa Schwartz is in this movie? Lisbug in Hollywood now, that’s a thing I was unaware of…

The writer and co-lead actor grew up in a uber-religious upbringing. And they’re lucky to have known actors join in because of how unusual the premise is.

I’m a Christian who dislikes most Christian movies, so this could be my kind of movie.

1:16 Best example of someone digging up a 4 year old tweet of yours for a video 😀

  25. @chicostephenson on April 20, 2025 at 8:59 pm

if it’s anything even close to Jesus, Bro. I’ll give it a shot. Thanks again, Brad.

I’m glad someone else knows about Free Enterprise.

  27. @Skull1Hunter on April 20, 2025 at 9:00 pm

So in a sense, you could say that if Jesus Bro! is The Room, then Faith Based is The Disaster Artist.

  30. @annecushing7249 on April 20, 2025 at 9:04 pm

    south park did it first.

  31. @ECL28E on April 20, 2025 at 9:04 pm

I was rather disappointed. I was really hoping this would be more like the Producers; in that the two leads have no sincerity in making their production.
Not to mention, the satire was completely surface-level. "Hey, religious movies make a lot of money and are of middling quality", and that’s as far as they go. Not the cheap attempts at pandering, not the obscene evangelical ego-stroking, not the perpetuating of the unwarranted "persecution" complex, not the demonizing of rival faiths/no-faith…

  32. @Niinkai on April 20, 2025 at 9:05 pm

But will this movie be reviewed by the Dove Foundation?

  33. @Sheepy007 on April 20, 2025 at 9:09 pm

0:53 So they are ripping off not one but 2 Cinema Snob films at once. You should sue them!

  34. @giovannisalamon2706 on April 20, 2025 at 9:09 pm

Had the stomach flu and felt crappy when I watched this movie. Did not find it was funny at all, but I don’t think my condition helped. I might try re-watching it again later.

  35. @DigitalNoodle on April 20, 2025 at 9:10 pm

This movie is also going to get zero doves.

  36. @Chipiliro613 on April 20, 2025 at 9:11 pm

South Park did this but for music.

  37. @DendyJungle on April 20, 2025 at 9:12 pm
