So he just believes what Gazan’s tell him? Have we forgotten that for many many years the Jews did nothing when Gaza threw bombs at them? Do ya think the iron dome wasn’t in use until 10/7?
It sounds like English but doesn’t make much sense, does it?
Jesus is a Jew. Jesus is my freind so I love and support my freind.
I think that it is right to mention the "Nakba", but important not only to acknowledge the real suffering of innocent people in this, but also understand what the Arabs of the day meant by this, and, additionally, what you might call the Jewish Nakba, as the Jews of N. Africa and much of the Middle East were persecuted and mostly expelled- consider Libya, Syria, Yemen, Iraq, Algeria, etc. Nobody ever talks about compensation or right of return or refugee rights for these.
He’s right it’s all about Jesus Christ not Israel we Christians are Israel every land is God’s land this love for Israel movement is kabbalist Zionist Christianity movement like haggi preaches
‘Much of Western Christianity’ @8:59 persecuted Jews and invented anti semitism for about 2000 years and inconveniently the Muslims protected Jews the entire time. Today, Christians in the US await end times because the Messiah will convert who is left and kill those who refuse (more anti semitism), and the Jews believe the Messiah will save them exclusively; both of these sides gathering — for the moment — in an unholy alliance against Muslims. None of this is holy. None of this can be called good. And none of it should be professed in God’s name
1 Cor 12:21 seems to be forgotten
Isaiah 53 is an upcoming prophecy of Israel repenting for their unbelief. Think about that particular Isaiah dead sea scroll. Why do you think God made that particular book match so closely to the Masoretic copy?
I am with him on 95% of this. I just find the idea that there is no fulfilment of prophecy in the return to the land passages difficult to make sense of. What ARE they talking about if not a literal return in history?
Is he saying the Jews don’t need to build a third temple to fulfill Revelation?
There is no end time. Israel is here forever…
This is so helpful and greatly appreciared. The Evangelicals in the US have gone a bit mad and intruth, the Zionism preached is acually anti-semetic. The Gentile believers are hoing to be whisked up into heaven, while the Jews are left to deal with the anti-christ. This is absurd. The whole concept of heaven being the point of salvation is believed by so many. It simply is not what the scriptures teach. Thank you for this interview. It is enormously important, especially for those of us who have left church because of the rhetoric and political idolotry around Trump, Dominionism, and Zionism. It’s a desert in many places here. Thank God for voices of sanity reason, and Biblical scholarship.
I really enjoyed that discussion, Very nice.
IF
It was Yahweh’s Sovereign will to judge the Jewish people out of the land forever in 70 A.D.,
AND
It was NOT His will that brought them back into in 1948, but man’s,
THEN
Man’s will trumped Yahweh’s Sovereign will?
So whose will is Sovereign?
Acts 17:26, Romans 13:1 and Daniel 4:17,
Teach that Yahweh determines the times, leadership and borders of a Sovereign nation,
So Who made Israel a Sovereign nation in 1948?
Jesus is the true Israel
There are many Israel’s in Bible but that modern Rothschild created military Zionist state called Israel is not one of those 7 mentioned
And simple not mentioned in scripture
Isaiah 60:7 says:
"All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered to you, the rams of Nebaioth shall serve you; they shall come up with acceptance on My altar, and I will glorify the house of My glory."
Kedar is the second son of Ishmael, and founder of the tribe that bore his name (Genesis 25:13). Many Arabs trace their lineage back through Ishmael to Abraham. Nebaioth was also a son of Ishmael Genesis 25:13; 1 Chronicles 1:29, and was the father of the Nabatheans.
This verse prophesied that Arabs (descendants of Ishmael from distant lands) will come to Jerusalem with offerings. Sacrifices offered by non-Israelite nations, being described as “acceptable,” signifies divine approval of their worship.
Educated and ignorant at the same time
Any Christian that supports Israel is supporting the murder of other Christians. Ignorance is no excuse. In all of these modern wars, Christians 3nd up getting murdered first. True in Ukraine, Jordan, Gaza, Turkey, and now Iran.
"Many will say Lord Lord! But I will tell them I know you not. Depart from Me you wicked ones."
Many modern Christians, especially in US believe that the modern nation of Israel is the fulfillment of biblical prophecies. By professing so, they show that they don’t understand some basic issues, such as the difference between biblical Jews and modern country of Israel most residents of whom don’t believe in anything. They also show that they don’t understand the most basic principles of biblical interpretation, which includes the plainly stated believe that those who are Christ’s are the children of God, not those who were born in an Israeli family.
Paul plainly says in 2 Thessalonians chapter 2 that the Day of the Lord cannot come until the man of sin is revealed, then the Day of the Lord comes. Jesus destroys the man of sin when He returns, so He obviously doesn’t return until after the Day of the Lord because the man of sin continues all the way through the Day of the Lord. Jesus also says that He doesn’t return until after the Day of the Lord: "Immediately AFTER the tribulation of those days (the Day of the Lord)…and then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky…and they will see the Son of Man coming…and He will send forth His angels with a mighty trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other." [Matt. 24:29-31] This means that the imminent return of Christ cannot apply to His actual coming to Earth to reign, IT CAN ONLY APPLY TO A PRETRIBULATION RAPTURE! If you do not believe in a pretribulation rapture, and you think that Jesus can return to reign today, you are sadly mistaken. It’s not going to happen today, or even within 7 years from today, because it will take time for Europe to become a 10-nation confederacy, even more time for the man of sin (the Antichrist) to gain control of it, and even more time to make a 7-year covenant with Israel which kicks off the Day of the Lord. The doctrine of imminency actually demands a pretribulation rapture. N. T. Wright, refute this!
I know Zionism is satanic an wrong but got ? What about the temple Satan will sit at an claim to be God
Respectfully you should have listened to your late father in law. Israel’s was reformed not by the will of man but by Gods good purpose and plan. Israel is the apple of his eye and he will establish it as a nation wholly belonging to him. Regarding the rapture you are going up whether you like it or not. I do admire some of your other teachings but end times I think needs a rethink.
Is Bart Hermes a demon trying to demonize Christian? He is trying so hard to justify his backsliding.
This man is a moron .
Wright is wrong. And so he manages to sound both right and wrong. And sometimes it sounds, from his fence sitting position , as if he is for God and his ways and at others it all sounds like academic mumbo jumbo. It is truth that sets us free not well-informed opinion, no matter if the well-informed has multiple lettes after his name.
N.T. Wright is wrong! What a false understanding of end times. Read Gen. 15
Jesus will rule over the whole world with a Rod of iron, but he will rule out of Jerusalem. Read Ez. 16; Zech. 14:1-17, Rev. 2:27, Jer. 3:17, Luke 1:30-33,
He is a heretic that believes justification is by faith and the law.
People love his accent but he is one to be avoided. He obfuscates like no other when it comes to how a person is saved.
Who would have thought that the lauded N T Wright would make such a disastrous mess of biblical Israel? Smoke and mirrors and disappearing tricks. N T Wright’s theology is often a slip[pery bar of soap in a cloudy bubble bath: just when you think you’ve finally grasped it, it mysteriously slips away, greased with endless nuance. He also gives the impression that everybody else has gotten everything else wrong about the reading of scripture with the exception of guess who? That’s right, N T Wright.
The word Palestine did not occur until over 150 years after the death of christ. The Roman Emperor Hadrian hated the Jews so much that he renamed Israel to Palestine. That’s how he came up with this false name. Jesus was not a Palestinian Jew.
NT WRIGHT IS SO NT WRONG OF WOKE GARBAGE
He forgot Romans 11:24-31. Israel very definitely still holds a place in the Lord’s heart, and we Christians are adopted in but are spoken of separately.
"How much more shall these who are the natural branches be grafted into their own olive tree"
The Lord gave them a partial gardening until the fullness of the gentiles come in, not a replacement!
Even JESUS said that only GOD the FATHER knows what the end time will be.I deduce therefore that JESUS will only come when the FATHER sends His SON at GOD’S set day or night.
What about Romans 11
It amazes me how a Gentile could be authoritative in interpreting that promises made to Israel are all expired by the New Testament. There is no doubt that the Jews will have to believe in Jesus as the Messiah, but that does not mean that God’s other promises to them are cancelled.
Why are you conflating zionists with Jews?
Interesting discussion, but it seems from Jeremiah 44 that they were banished for all times because of conduct.
14There shall be neither fugitive nor survivor to the remnant of Judah coming to sojourn there in the land of Egypt and to return to the land of Judah, for they mislead themselves to return to dwell there, for only fugitives shall return.
Which was eventually fulfilled, especially when you read a second prophecy in the gospel of Matthew.
Matthew 24:2
And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
Also, John 4:21
Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father
So, without a temple and having been promised to be banished, the Bible really tells a different narrative here !!
The covenant is essentially withdrawn because it was not honored !!
Makes sense to me. Considering the whole Bible and the message of Jesus.
Oh wow I had no idea he was a replacement theologist! Bummer, I was really liking N.T. Wright.
He is spot on.
This kind of interpretation of scripture is dangerous and leads to "picking and choosing" portions of scripture to take literally vs. metaphorically. In this case, the interpretation applied would render dozens of chapters of scripture as metaphorical — both in the NT and OT.
Some Christians created their own dogma/theology around Christianity and Judaism.
End of times
EVERYONE KNOW ISRAELI SLOWLY PREPARING THEMSELVES FOR WHAT IS COMING FOR THEM
Those who bless Israel will be blessed and those who curse them will be cursed
So many people in the comment section read and interpret Bible words literally
Unfortunately, I find this to be quite unaccurate. Are we to assume that man is what dictates? What is true or is it God himself who dictates? What is true if we are to look at God’s covenants that he has made? Whether it was with all or with the Jews, it’s key to understanding God’s covenant with us.. there’s five covenants that God has made. The only covenant that is old that is no longer is the Mosaic covenant because it was replaced by the Messianic. This leaves us with the abrahamic covenant active, which means Israel by God’s choosing their land.
Why do the old Bibles never show a country called Israel?A land wholly created by Rothschild.Israel is a peoples,Jacob Israel.
This right here is called the new age dispensationalism…the great tribulation happened in 70 ad it was jesus coming in JUDGEMENT…it is a fantasy to keep teaching these lies.we always ask who what there and when…and all these answers was the judgement of the great whor_ when rome turned on her and burnt her with fire!
