Fr Columba discusses all of the options, with a particular focus on how to do one yourself. He includes essential and additional elements, dreaming with God, imagining your deathbed, and more.

Thank you SO MUCH for making this video! ❤

I 100% agree that coming into each day of retreat as well-rested as possible is a good idea. You want to be able to contemplate, meditate, and LISTEN without drifting off to sleep.

Also, the "don’t make it too busy but you don’t want to be bored." YES. I have a tendency to overload my schedule when trying to do something that I think is so very important. But then I feel harried and rushed rather than giving myself time to simple focus and "be" with God.

Thank you, Father so much. I really needed some practical inspiration . It is evident that God has really poured His graces down on you to bring others to
the fullness of faith through The Holy Catholic Church. God love you and bless you always.

What if you are intentional but your intentions rarely come through?

Thank you so much for this video. It really spoke to me. I’ve been discerning for a while and I think I’ve finally found a place to make an extended discernment retreat, God willing. Please pray for my discernment.

I spent a week in silence earlier this year. Incredible and challenging at the same time. So many moments to remember. I’m so grateful that I had 3 different journals. God brings us where He can use us, we just have to trust Him and His timing.

I appreciate your silent retreat presentation. I’m seeking a guided retreat to seek God’s guidance for the final chapter of my story after my wife of 55 years passed away in September 2023. I’m in the USA and would consider any location in Ireland or elsewhere. Thank you for any advice you can offer.

I am continuously grateful for these videos. You always say in the end that you hope they are helpful. Well, for me they are every time! There is always something that is just what I need. THANK YOU!

This spoke to my heart today. My soul has been yearning for a retreat.
Altough it is not practically possible with two little kids, but these practical ideas to organize a retreat at home is a very good idea.

I have met a brother of your congregation when he was invited to a retreat in Wageningen the Netherlands. God bless

Thank you Father for your wonderful video!
Would you consider doing a video on being Invited to a family member’s wedding in which the ceremony is not including the Church? Is going to the celebration being two-faced even though you might not be going to the ceremony ? I know it’s about love and if we don’t go it will cause a problem and if we do go it goes against God because it’s not of God. How do we handle these situations?
