I agree this was an act of God. This was a spiritual event and miracle no doubt, yet on a physical level the armored divisions had to stop in order for the infantry to catch up with the tanks. I fervently prayed for 8 months for deliverance over my husband’s alcohol addiction. Jesus delivered him on Feb 13 and he’s been sober for almost 4 years. Prayer and faith! Also, He changed the way I viewed my husband as well.

A MIRACLE would be if all the tanks turned to marshmallows. Or entire groups of people were levitated up and transported to safety. Or maybe…I don’t know…god helped out a bit to stop millions of jews from being burned alive in concentration camp ovens. Nah. He just stood around and did nothing.
And you may not even realize how problematic this is for the concept of free will. How exactly is God controlling actions of his free will agents after deciding to help out? Does he beam mind control to Hitler to stop some tanks? Why didn’t he step in and stop Hitler from declaring war in the fist place?
God is sitting around, watching people all around the world die of starvation, malaria, dysentery, cancer…then something catches his eye. Hm. Lots of people are begging me for help. But not enough yet. I need like 10,000 more humans to beg for my help, then I’ll do something.
The book is called the Intercessor by Norman Grubb. An amazing book I just finished! Rees Howells allowing our God to use him and ended up changing the direction of war and so much more!
