10 Places in NORTH CAROLINA You Should NEVER Move To

Move to these places and you’re gonna regret it big time!

Quick! Name the fastest growing states in the country. Florida, Texas, Colorado, yes yes yes. But would you guess North Carolina? It’s true. Due to a moderate climate, relatively low cost of living and TONS of jobs in many areas, this state is boomin, fella.

Lots of people are thinking about moving here, or already have moved here. If you’re one of them, places like the Raleigh metro area, and Charlotte, and along the coast are great picks. Although jobs near the coast are very limited. But there are lots of places in this state where you SHOULD NOT move. That’s what we’re gonna talk about today.

It’s a great state, but North Carolina has some issues, that’s for sure. The old North state has poverty, crime and drugs just like anywhere in this country. Most of this state’s trouble areas share similar things – shootings, welfare, ghetto tracts, and not a lot of opportunities for young families to get started. Nor are they places that you should retire. We’re going to take a look at ten such places. Let’s begin.

17 years ago, we moved out of our old house in East Spencer. We fixed it up and sold it. 15 years later, one of our the next door neighbors in that area was fatally shot by her son, it’s truly depressing.

High concentration of blacks in all of these places is a constant denominator. U cant talk about racial diversity. Y the hell would someone like a techy who has their life together want to mingle with a ghetto piece of crap?? Blacks need to do more in their communities to fix these communities.

Lol ok well you say the 90’s were bad. I lived in Durham then and never had a problem. Born in Fayetteville! There is bad things going on all over the world so singling certain towns really is not fair unless you yourself have lived there. NC is a beautiful state and has a lot to offer

  7. Debbie on March 28, 2022 at 5:44 pm

@Nick Johnson Just a suggestion. Go to Adventures With Purpose channel on YouTube and look for Nicholas Allen. It will show you another part that needs to be reported on. Just watch the video all the way through and you’ll know what I mean.

Fayetteville has allegedly always been a bad town. I was reading a book on the 82nd Airborne Division’s history during World War Two a few years back, and as any North Carolinian probably knows, Fort Bragg is the home of the airborne and is near Fayetteville. On the weekends the paratroopers in training would get passes into the city, and would get into trouble extremely easy. Their clashes with the rough locals of the community prompted Brigadier General James Gavin (who would later become the division CO) to say, "If they fight in North Africa like they did in Fayetteville, then we will have this war won by Christmas."

The book is ‘The Sword of St. Michael’ by Guy LoFaro, for anyone who is interested.

  22. Aimee Allee on March 28, 2022 at 6:06 pm

I’ve lived in NC for 35 years. Worked as a LEO. Wilmington is worse. Shootings every day. Heroin and meth are really bad down by the port. Prostitution and gang activity are a continuous problems in the projects. What’re are you getting your info? Just curious?

  23. Happiness Is on March 28, 2022 at 6:06 pm

Take Wake County /RALEIGH/ off your list. It is heavily overrated and overpopulated. Nothing to do but shop, eat, go out to crowded events (when we have them) there are some public outdoor spaces that are crowded when the weather is nice, you can work, go to church, and go to the doctor, notice how we have hospitals and clinics literally everywhere. It’s a lot of people here a lot of sick people and you will become another sick person living here. The crime rate ridiculous, people drive like blind muppets, unless you live on a large plot of land I can guarantee you will have some neighbors that make you wish you never chose to live in that community. There are a few pockets of neighborhoods that are peaceful but I am not sharing that info cause that’s where I live right now.

Also don’t forget Livingston college. This is a historical place and I always was treated with respect in the 90s when having any activity with the college. They were the nicest people I have ever meet. I was a county volunteer cheerleader coach for Salisbury and I loved it. Shout out to Romeo head football couch for county 3,4,5,& 6 grade football, cheerleaders of Rowan County!!!!!!

  28. Phil Hewett on March 28, 2022 at 6:09 pm

Curious, I was born and raised inNC and have lived the greater portion of my life here and I love it. NC is in transition into unknown territory. When I was a boy in the 50s NC was primarily an agrarian society. With modernisation of farm machinery, the loss of tobacco, and corporate agriculture taking over the greater portion of farm land is disappearing, In the North it’s the Rust Belt, here in the Bible Belt we have the Rot Belt…farming is rotting. Many of the noted towns and cities in this vid are dying because nothing has come to replace the income structure farming generated. Sadly, these communities will wither and, at best, just a very few people will stay to sustain them. North Carolina will, at some point, rise from the ashes of its lost agrarian life and become a decent place for all of its people. I lived in the thriving metropolis of Aurora on the south bank of the Pamilico river as a boy. It was determined to be dying then, but 65 years later it is still there, despite aspirations of becoming a ‘boom town’ when Texas Gulf started mining phosphate. Those dreams never manifested. None the less, Aurora is still alive, not a shining star by any means but, still alive. It has potential to grow and thrive in a new century…all the places in you video do too.

Chadbourn or Tabor city (aka razor city) could’ve been (dis)honorable mentions. Very high chance of getting killed in those places.

5:14 "Drugs, drunks, and very little culture."

That describes most rural North Carolina towns, honestly.

This is definitely an impasse to any pertinent information except for data that is readily available but humans, like religion and government, look better on paper. This guy also lumped high point and Rocky Mount together which if you look at a map are in completely two different regions of the state. It’s approvable by advertisement companies ,I’m sure, just from the sheer rise he gets out of natives and transplants saying the same thing but all still disagreeing.

  36. Danaka Webb on March 28, 2022 at 6:17 pm

Just don’t go to Durham, but all places cities have their good and bad spots….just avoid Durham and you’ll be fine in living in NC

This one man’s opinion. It means nothing

  42. Lee Brown on March 28, 2022 at 6:28 pm

make sure you like the hospital you are living next to- in the mountains- there are only so many to choose from- AVOID WHITTIER, NC above all ! Swain County Hospital is DIS-REPUTABLE. listen to my story…

The biggest F in the world goes to Swain County Hospital in Whittier, North Carolina- In my time of need I experienced a so called medical professional who purposefully let me continue to suffer instead of properly diagnosing me and getting me on the road to recovery. I was forced to drive another 600 miles to Florida where I was immediately fast tracked into the Lakeland Regional Hospital where they properly diagnosed my condition as Severe Norwegian Crusted Scabies- and YES- it’s all documented in official 2021 Hospital records-

So it is un-disputed- the Swain County Hospital system has mis- diagnosed a real patient in the computer system- I also talked the CBS news in Bryson City 2 days after the mis-diagnosed condition and they also aired this on the news- so I am taking everything to court soon- building a strong case against Swain County Hospital. some medical professionals are not professional- and they most likely cheated on their Medical Exams- FACT- turn in the dis-reputable Doctors- it’s the only way we can have their Medical Licenses revoked- let’s face it-

A dis-reputable doctor in Swain County Hospital in North Carolina gave me the same -non-professional diagnosis- I am delusional- they basically are being told by their superior’s to degrade the patients claims and get them out of the facility as soon as possible- Why? Because they KNOW these Crusted Scabies can spread through a medical facility- Interesting – they sent in 4 nurses wearing Germ biologic protection suits with head covering to inspect me-

The nurse KNEW right away I had NORWEGAIN CRUSTED SCABIES – but the Doctor was a REAL Let Down- He treated me like I was a common meth addict- when I went in- I will never pay the bill-they will be destroyed by the wrath of God- so I just let it go- I can’t force the Court system to open a Malpractice suit since I am not wealthy- and they know it- but I will never forget the worst hospital in the entire state of North Carolina-is in fact – SWAIN County Hospital- for the record books- this is all documented- and I might still hire an attorney to take this case since I contacted one who will work for a low initial cost- this is serious – We ALL need to STAND up against the corruption of the Medical System by networking amongst ourselves and specifically naming the BAD doctors and dis=reputable medical institutions of America- this is how CHANGE happens
