My name is Ally Poirot, and I am joined with my husband @gabepoirot to discuss how Christian couples should date in order to put God first in their relationships. We take a Biblical look into God’s heart behind relationships between men and women. We also discuss a misperception that arises in relationships about the equal importance love and respect. We share many of the lessons we learned, questions we asked, and boundaries that helped us to honor God while we were single, dating, and engaged. We will cover topics such as being equally-yoked, the love language of women and men, what to do in the waiting, God’s timing, settling for less, waiting for marriage, and more. how do I know if something is a dealbreaker or if i should have grace and try to help the person improve? because, for example, i swear and drink, and the guy i’m going out with does too. we’ve talked about how we want to grow in Christ, so that is definitely something we should get better at, but should we do it on our own or together? also, he makes jokes that are way too inappropriate, and he said he is willing to change that, but i’m not sure if i should give him the chance or just leave it at that.
My girlfriend would be homeless right now if I didn’t let her move in as she was fired from her job due to having seizures. What do we do? Should we push to live separately again? The state we live in is incredibly hard to afford your own place.

I was really moved by this video. I’m going through a really tough time right now. After 45 years together, my wife left me. She doesn’t talk to me anymore, and no matter what I do, I just can’t reach her. It’s been incredibly hard. I think about her constantly, and honestly, I can’t even imagine a future without her. I’m not sure why I’m even posting this here maybe I just needed to say it out loud to someone.

How do I tell someone I can’t go further in a relationship with someone because I’m a Christian and he’s not? I’m going on my first date tomorrow with him and I know it’s just the first date but my biggest non negotiable is that my future boyfriend/ husband has to be s Christian and so if he’s not I don’t know how to tell him I can’t date him

Iam new in christianity after like 20 years of ateism. I knowed or felt god before. But I have problem really believe god.
For me its not I want to do believe in god because I love him, but because I have to. I feel maybe some evidence of god, but I have really weak believe.
I have still fear to put lord on 1.st place. Yes he is, but Iam always asking is real? What if Iam crazy? Or if I have dificult decision, Iam afraid to sey " I believe strongly god, Iam sure he help me".

God has me in preparation, I was recently engaged but God called me out because he was not leading us in Gods timing. I am now open to these discussions because I’ve tried it my way a million times and failed each time. LADIES, if you do not feel you can submit to this man, he is not your husband, at least not now. Find a man who’s worth submitting to, who is respectable, or else he will end up leading you into sin!
I’ve been looking for a girl for so long, but only recently did I realize that I was not yet the man of God that I need to be to properly lead and take care of one of His daughters. If God were to bring that girl into my life right now, I would probably lose her. Now is the time for me, and many other young men, to focus on aligning with Him first and foremost.

Im 31 and I’m feeling sad about not being with a woman and my parents are divorced and I worry that God won’t bless me with someone
God`s peace and blessing be whit you all. I want to share something whit you guys and please feel free to share whit me your opinion and advice. I lived in the world of sin, by not aknowledging God`s love and Jesus sacrifice. Last year I started reading the bible and started feeling something different in my life, i felt that i want to get closer to him. This year i got baptized, a short time after that i got blessed by the holy spirit and started speaking unknown language by men. In the meantime meet a sister, we started talking it was all so perfect we read the bible together we spoke a lot about scripture all seemd that she was the one. We started dating but we set limits. So we don`t commit anything that its not in God`s will. Like no kiss no hugs. only talking. But there was some time when she started joking about kissing, like sending kisses, or saying jokes like ( come i give you a kiss). Things that was a bit off for me. coming from a sinful world where kissing huging and other stuff are seen like "normal". I felt that is wrong cuz it may lead me to think about something i shouldn`t even in my mind. So i tried talking to her by telling her that please stop joking about stuff like kiss or anything cuz for me its not that fun, we can joke about anything else but please no things that I have to get used to not think about , cuz being new and learning from God`s Word the Bible. I pray to step on the right road that God like so please no more of these. She got so ofended she felt atacked, started arguing about the fact that she cannt joke whit me, she can`t be herself. I felt a pain realizing that i`m in the wrong pleace whit her. So i decided that best is to tell her that sorry but we are in an early knowing season, we should just stop here . I mean no harm by coming to you and try to tell you about what is a bit off and trying to tell you that is bad and I need your understanding.
Proverbs 23:26 "My son, give me your heart and let your eyes delight in my ways" When i found this verse i felt that this is what i need to do, and let God lead someone In may way when he knows its the right time, I entrust all my life to him, my heart is His , my life is His. I felt like sharing this whit someone , and I found you guys, i don`t think by mistake cuz now i just got some advices and ideas of what it looks like where there is understanding and true love. Can I ask about his faith without me being the leader of the relationship? How can I know if we are equally yoked? I read my Bible at least 3 times a day, does that mean he also has to read it 3 times a day? Edit: I just found your video about being equally yoked so I’m going to watch that one.

I got a question, you said you gotta like ask if he speaks in tongues and serve the church. Like i understand the serving and reading daily and praying but like does a man need to speak in tongues? I thought not everyone can do that…
As I’ve turned 18 this year in September, the main things I want to change not only as an adult but overall as a person is 1. Build a strong relationship with god that doesn’t just consist of talking to him only when saying my nightly prayers (like I used to do) 2. Build a “relationship” with myself, learning to love, respect and understand myself before learning to love someone else through the help of Jesus Christ.
