Hello Daniel. My parents made me to merry the girl I was dating 20 years ago when we find out she was pregnant. We married in the court. no in church
I haven’t lived with spouse for 20 years. She is in different country and I live here in the USA. I being with my children mom for almost 20 years and we want to get merry before God a Christian marriage. I being talking with a lawyer in the other country to start my divorce. Daniel you think God sees my marriage valid? I was 19 years old now im almost 40 and I want to walk with God I want to do right by our Lord

* Divorcing a wife and marrying another is adultery (Mark 19:11).
* Marrying someone who has been divorced is adultery (Luke 16:18).
* Divorcing a spouse for any reason except for fornication is to be guilty of causing your spouse to commit adultery (Matt 5:32, 19:9).
Some questions that naturally come up when discussing Jesus’ challenging teaching on adultery in the light of divorce are questions such as:
Why would I be held guilty of the sin of adultery if I have lawfully divorced my spouse and married someone else?
Why would I be committing adultery if I have never been married before but I marry a person who has been divorced from someone else who is still living?
Why is remarriage looked at so negatively in the New Testament scriptures?
The answer to all of these questions, simply put, is that Jesus taught that the marriage bond was indissoluble, outside of the death of a spouse. Therefore, any other union is considered adultery. No matter what we may do—be it to legally divorce, separate, or just plain don’t get along, nothing can separate the marriage union except death. As the Apostle Paul succinctly put it, “The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord” (1 Cor. 7:39).
My advice for Christian men: don’t get married!
I’m a Christian male who was married 20 years and my wife wanted to return to her days before she was baptized…. I wish I had gotten a prenup.
My wife won’t listen to me or let me lead because I don’t make enough money. She’ll never respect me…
what if your wife wants a divorce but you don’t! and if you don’t accept it, she goes to court and gets a forced divorce??

My husband pounds the Bible in my head and it’s not on to me. We can’t have a conversation without him asking well your my wife your suppose to listen. Are you kidding me, that’s all I do. I’m tired of it. Every lady because I can’t live with him because I don’t trust him. He drinks and I hate it. Every month he makes me pay him for my car insurance and any money he sends me. Yes he does nice things but it’s all about money. I’m sick of it. I’m broken and sick and tired

Hey, Daniel have you made a video about being in a relationship with another person who already has a child from another person. There’s more and more single parents. What does the Bible say about it or how would it affect my faith if i marry someone with someone who already has a child?
Definitely people need to be told what marriage is really like. It’s not that great, and I think you need to emphasize that the Bible discourages marriage. Anyone that gets married has a harder time spiritually, emotionally and financially.
The 5 love languages is very good for Christian marriage guidance councelling.

I have a question about "fornication". I’ve come to know that the word translated in Hebrew means "porneia". It doesn’t mean sex before marriage. There was a scripture that had in laws as fornication got example. My question is as there was no ceremonies or licenses back in biblical days, is becoming one flesh really just staying with one person after you sleep with them?

I’ve been married 35 years and it is hard work ,but I’ve come to realize that when you put God first before everything and everyone you can make it!!!!
I have recently rededicated my life to Christ. I started attending church regularly as well as praying each morning for my wife and children before we leave the house. The problem is that my wife told me that she doesn’t want to go to church and she often seems annoyed that I want to pray as a family all the time. She said she hates that I am forcing her to go to church and I feel all I’m doing is insisting (very politely by the way) that we attend as a family. I find it ridiculous to go to church every Sunday without my wife. And it makes it difficult to manage two young children in the pews by myself. I feel as the man of the household and a Christian, I have an obligation to ensure my family attends church and we pray. Should I just chalk it up and not push her to go? It grieves my heart exceedingly knowing my wife hates church and has no interest in praying. Very difficult for me. Not sure what the right thing to do is.
