While I’m philosophically against the death penalty I often wonder why for a plea deal to remove the death penalty doesn’t include a stipulation that he perpetrator tell their motive.

As a Boise resident, I’m happy we can move on from this. This taking priority in local news will finally stop and will move on to more important things. Justice was served. Period.

Hmmm. He doesn’t look like an immigrant.

  15. @icerepublic on July 25, 2025 at 11:41 pm

Here in Europe that’s probably longer than any sentence he might have gotten here. The death penalty doesn’t exist. Nobody could be disappointed that he didn’t get the death penalty. I wonder how the mere existence of the death penalty in the US shapes and influences the expectations of the people. If there was also a punishment like torture and subsequent death penalty or setting someone on fire or sth. people would probably be disappointed if he just got the death penalty. They always want the maximum that’s available.

  16. @ThisWorldMakesMeSad on July 25, 2025 at 11:42 pm

Still a better sentence than what he gave his victims.

Remember when the Texas floods killed little kids and the Democratic party laughed

  18. @stayitive4343 on July 25, 2025 at 11:45 pm

For Plea Verdict, he is sentenced to 4 Consecutive life sentences WITHOUT Parole….saves time to ‘process’ to release victim’s familes to have ‘closure’/not tied up on outcome vs Jury Trial. Jury doesn’t have to decide ‘death penalty’ vs ‘Life inprisonment’ or other condition.

    Hope he rots in prison

  22. @EMMANUELIWUOHA. on July 25, 2025 at 11:51 pm

For the sake of human rights, they need to give Brian probation combined with some community service instead of sending him to prison to be physically or mentally tortured.

  23. @jldlott on July 25, 2025 at 11:52 pm

Why did this freak commit these crimes?

  26. @taylortrash on July 25, 2025 at 11:59 pm

as an idahoan. I hope these families get their true justice when he’s in prison. As early in his term as possible

  27. @ernestmastiwonga7 on July 26, 2025 at 12:00 am

4 life sentences??? He will be like 400 years old! Plus 50k fine for each count??? He will be in debt forever!!

  28. @LastExilez on July 26, 2025 at 12:02 am

Im sure he will pay all those fines in 100 years on his 75cent an hour job in jail if he gets one

  29. @lytlelynch9784 on July 26, 2025 at 12:03 am

Don’t worry. Jail house rules will take care of him. But law enforcement needs to really look hard at the dad. He knew and he was helping him.

  35. @Lukydada-15 on July 26, 2025 at 12:10 am

    Usual Suspects

  36. @robo1cops1 on July 26, 2025 at 12:12 am

I am glad he got (4) life sentences but it is disgusting that his “fine” of $50,000 to the State for each life sentence is more than the “civil payment” of $5000 to each family. No one will ever see a dime, but it makes not sense.

  37. @meep2253 on July 26, 2025 at 12:14 am

    USUAL SUSPECT

  38. @justme-dm7sb on July 26, 2025 at 12:15 am

This is the guy that thought he would get away with it. Happy to see he knows he didn’t get away with it. Prison will be a very cold place for this guy.

  39. @pistovster on July 26, 2025 at 12:15 am

To be honest he got the worst punishment, if you are dead you dont feel, but being alive and watching your life sweeping away year by year and you are in the prison than in the nature it is what make it worse.

  40. @beecnul8r on July 26, 2025 at 12:17 am

At last a judge who gives out proper prison terms.
No more weeping by the judges, no more stupid reductions or "getting out of jail for free".
If any person needs life in prison, it is this Guy.

  41. @bunyip9993 on July 26, 2025 at 12:18 am

$50,000 is the value of a life now in the USA? WTH?!?!

  42. @istegal2714 on July 26, 2025 at 12:19 am

    put trump in jail too

  43. @Jack.8.45 on July 26, 2025 at 12:19 am

Count 1= Burglary 10 yrs + criminal fine of $50,000. Count 2,3,4,5= 1st Degree Murder for each life w/o parole + criminal penalty of $50k + civil penalty of $5,000 for loss of child.

  44. @janneholm7071 on July 26, 2025 at 12:20 am

I must say that the US has stronger sentences than europe, in my country 16 years is life

  45. @jacquelineelsner2146 on July 26, 2025 at 12:22 am

I’ve seen court trials, the serial killer BTK for one, explain what he did and why.

Why didn’t this judge and the prosecutor make him, in the deal that they made, have him, before all, what he did, how he planned it, and why. If he wasn’t going to do that, then life without parole be taken away.

    Very weak prosecution team.

I don’t have a law degree; this is my opinion, and I believe common sense, especially if the families were requesting this knowledge.

  46. @zrofuksgvn on July 26, 2025 at 12:24 am

he innocent. President Trump is gonna pardon him.
