Overview: 1-2 Kings

Overview: 1-2 Kings

Watch our overview video on the books of 1-2 Kings, which breaks down the literary design of the book and its flow of thought. In Kings, David’s son Solomon leads Israel to greatness, only to fail and lead Israel to a civil war and ultimately towards destruction and exile.

    Wow!!! Thanks for explaining in a way that my simple mind can understand. But I still set in wonder of all of God’s patients, love and never ending chances He gives us. Praise Him for His ways!

    Again great job guys! The story is told and illustrated SO well!!! It reminds us of just how much God loves us that even after all the chaos, messiness, apostasy, etc, he still doesn’t give up on us. There’s a message in their for America and the World today.

    If one were to take the Bible seriously one would go mad. But to take the Bible seriously, one must be already mad.

    Guys thank you so much for your channel and all the information. How long are you studying The Bible? Your knowledge of Gods word and plan is incredible.

    I have been strugling with understanding since I started. Few days of watching this channel and I understand the whole message and the point of the Bible.

    Thanks to this I was able properly explain to my non-christian friends.

    Thank you once again guys for everything.

    1 Corinthians 15:1-4

    Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
    2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
    3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
    4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

    I’d really like to hear your opinion about what happened with chemosh

  22. Hunter3457 on July 5, 2022 at 11:23 pm

    I came here because I was confused about what some people were saying about how Chemosh the god of Moabites defeated Yahweh, but in all honesty hearing this now God was not defeated at all, everything was just going downhill for the Israelites when they decided to disobey God

    Thanks for this. I am currently reading the Bible, and each time I turn to a new chapter, I watch your videos for context too. When reading Kings 2 I stumbled upon the fact that when Joash became King, he was only seven years old. Can you provide any context for that specific happening?

    He leaves out some pretty dark stuff like how they sacrificed their sons to the fire of molech which is another name for Baal. Ppl til this day warship moloch specifically a lot of ppl in the us goverment and Hollywood actors warship molech and sacrifice children in todays times just like they did in the bible. They doit to warship their god and to anger the true god. Look up bohemian grove and the moloch ritual they call cremation of care.

    Another excellent overview!

    I’m excited to see if the overview of Chronicles will talk about wicked king Menasseh’s repentance. He may have been the worst, most anti-LORD king of them all, but Chronicles describes how he repents and is forgiven (even for child murder to pagan gods?). It’s too late for the tribes of Israel, but he was right with the LORD in the end.

  42. Jamie Smith on July 5, 2022 at 11:46 pm

    This mentions yet another case of child sacrifice. Sometimes I wonder if abortion is a modern day child sacrifice to the god of wokeism. Woke SJWs refuse to accept that people have the value of a person before they’re born, so some of them are sacrificed under the principles of wokeism.
