In 2015, Bankstown Poetry Slam and Auburn Community Development Network (ACDN) teamed up to run a series of workshops with young Western Sydney writers engaging the theme of “respectful relationships.”
Facilitated by Ahmad AL-Rady and Yasmine Lewis, the workshops resulted in REAL TALK – a spoken word theatre show exploring power, gender, race, sexuality and violence through the optics of social relationships.
The piece in this clip is written and performed by Dany Kamel, Kevin Ngo and Wafa Kazal.
