Hey Ashley I love your videos so much and wanted to ask for your advice. I’m a 14 year old girl who loves God, but both sides of my family wouldn’t support me if I told them I was a Christian. I want to get closer to God but I don’t know what to do that won’t anger my family or hurt their feelings. Love ya <3
Just a reminder; we are called to judge one another and sharpen one another when need be. Unfortunately today a lot of people hate truth tellers, even Christians that are just reminded of the Word of God. There are kind ways to righteously judge and ways that are unnecessarily cruel. As someone with ASD it can be rough because I have issues with tone and body language, I’ve been working to be better but it is part of my life. Even my husband of over a decade can misinterpret me as being mean. We get past it pretty quickly now, understanding one another better.
I appreciate constructive criticism, I think friends shouldn’t be afraid to help one another become better. Today’s world is very sensitive and tends to enable sinful choices. There CAN be a difference between being mean and being honest.Also wouldn’t guess by this comment; but I rarely say much when I meet new people. I tend to be THE listener and it’s led me to a lot of toxic people trying to take advantage because they just want someone to dump on and don’t ever ask questions, don’t listen etc. So have boundaries and pay attention to red flags for sure. When someone shows you who they are/shows their fruit…believe them! Same goes for good people. I think it’s a common trauma response to fear people who seem "too good to be true".

The thing is my Dad is a Pastor and in our Church we don’t really have young people my age most of our church members are older
And I am from German and it’s not a very Christian country they are religious but not on fire for Jesus

I went to my church by myself the first time I went! And I joined women’s Bible study by myself but GUESS WHAT SO IS EVERYONE ELSE. And you’ll meet awesome people who are also pursuing girl friends and the Lord

I’m young and I’ve been going to my church for my whole life and I’ve never made a friend. All the girls are either younger than me, older then me, gossip, just don’t like me, or I’m to scared to talk to because they all ready have there own friendship. Now it’s awkward because I know everyone and it’s not really me just meeting them and asking to be their friend. I really hope I can get my godly friend, and if I don’t, it’s all part of gods plan. ❤

I think that God has been telling me to church hop alone as well! Like you said I am scared but through God all things are possible ❤❤
From 2022 onwards, I often watch graduations from my university online, with each department having its separate session. When the names of some fellow brothers and sisters in Christ were called, I would suddenly cheer very loudly for them!
but where can i go to worship nights? i live in canada and im 13 so idk 🙁

This has been so helpful! I started going to church on my own about a month ago and I went 3 of the events by myself, it was terrifying but I’ve met so many amazing people already! I put myself out there, pushed fear to the side and it’s paid off. I’ve also been praying for community! I will say during my first service that I attended by myself, I was about 2 songs in and was going to leave, but the ladies sitting next to me were so friendly and made me feel welcome. Always remember to make newcomers feel welcome!
