I was a terrible sinner in all possible ways. Living with freedom at my will to sin and act as a fake Christian.
Decided a couple months ago that it was time to change.
    It’s not easy.
But I stop going into IG and have connecting a little more with God and myself.
Eventhough there are great challenges still and sometimes seems that things go opposite no matter what good reason I do them for, it’s easier to find maybe the root inside me, while before it was numbed with alcohol, social media, ego, chasing money, chasing pleasure etc.
I would act like a judge in everything against other and now I can see what a monster I was.
I thank God now for giving me the opportunity to start, and thank him for never letting me alone.
Of course it’s going to cost creating new habits what did I expect after messing around so many years.

You are so knowledgeable and show such wisdom for a young man. How old are you?

Heard a sermon today when the pastor told us to CURATE our lives with Christ filled audio and visual…. But the only audio and visual we need is prayer and the Bible!

4:50 While true, we are not under any law anymore, we are under grace. This is explained in a multitude of verses like Romans 6:14, Galatians 5:18, and many more. I am not saying that you should do these things. However, if you want to follow the law, then you must follow all of the law, including those laws in Exodus. This is explained in James 2:8-10.

YouTube is also a social media. We have to use social media and all our life for Jesus. Spending time apart in prayer and with the Word helps and sanctifies. I was off the social media and temptations came anyway. If we use social media for Jesus only it can help us and others to overcome them. But we have to avoid any stuff which can tempt the flesh and keep our eyes on Jesus.

Covenant Eyes is a pain. To cancel, you have to call and talk to a live representative. I understand they do this to keep you accountable, but I do not think it is worth the hassle.

I have zero issues with social media, I deleted them years ago. But YouTube, it’s a problem for me. I watch mostly videos to learn about God bc other people interpret the Bible so much better & more deeply than I do, but I know I should focus on my relationship with God and the Bible should be enough. I go back and forth on deleting YouTube bc I learn so much from YouTube but I also believe it’s a stumbling block for me bc I’m not present.

The Holy Spirit helped me understand what really is important and I just love it how God gave me the ability to just give everything that doesn’t benefit me out of my life. I am 1 mouth sober of social media. Amen you guys can do the same too

  21. @louisecruz2173 on August 3, 2025 at 12:20 am

  23. @m_jay5 on August 3, 2025 at 12:21 am

As a Christian man I feel I’m one of the few people in society that wouldn’t have a full blown panic attack if I forgot my phone – I also don’t have Twitter/X or Facebook

  24. @clarenceandgennymcneil251 on August 3, 2025 at 12:26 am

I’ve been struggling with covetousness and obsession with social media for a long while. I’ve been focusing this month on replacing digital distractions with videos on Christianity and spending more time with my siblings. Whoever is reading, you are not alone.

  25. @DRose-dq5pb on August 3, 2025 at 12:26 am

What if my Instagram is Christianity content related?

  26. @ramya3862 on August 3, 2025 at 12:27 am

    Absolutely true 100%!!!

  27. @jamievictorhair on August 3, 2025 at 12:28 am

Hold on guys? I’m finding YouTube is basically the same thing!!?!? How do we navigate YouTube when there is the same self promoting content on it as well as good stuff like these videos

  28. @brokeafishing9963 on August 3, 2025 at 12:28 am

As a baby Christian (always believed in God, but only started following Jesus around easter) I feel like I was set up for success. I didn’t have friends (nobody to pull me to sin) and the only social media I have is tiktok, but with their algorithm over 90% of what I see is Christian content (the rest is politics, which is what I used to use it for).

  29. @andregoncalves4785 on August 3, 2025 at 12:30 am

The second one is absolutely true.

  30. @thevincegalaxyrogue5888 on August 3, 2025 at 12:33 am

I pray that al my friends, including myself may get over this social media addiction including YouTube. Pray for me guys and help me to leave my life of social media.

  31. @DaniKraftPlays on August 3, 2025 at 12:33 am

  34. @ademolaadelekan8400 on August 3, 2025 at 12:37 am

Beautiful video! Deleting them right now – -even the ones I almost never used for these same reasons.

  35. @brianrunyon266 on August 3, 2025 at 12:37 am

I only use YouTube, Facebook and Twitter, no Instagram or Tiktok needed. I’m not only a Christian, but a nerd, so, a lot of the things II tend to view are Star Wars-themed, and more, as well as authors I’m a fan of.

  36. @NicholaiMohammed on August 3, 2025 at 12:38 am

I use my phone to post Bible verses daily

  37. @GhostFace-uu8ji on August 3, 2025 at 12:41 am

Warning about temptation, the damning of the unrepentant soul that chases lust, and then charging people as you offer a solution. In Dantes inferno lust was the beginning of Hell, what you’re doing goes deeper.
