Honest question. It is my understanding that the church is given a certain tax status reserved for churches and charity organizations. This allows them to be tax-exempt. However, they have operated more like a private company in regards to their investments. They did not report this to the IRS, which would have required they pay taxes on private investments. Thus, tax fraud. Where is this logic incorrect? Again, honest question asked with an open mind.

They won the battle but will lose the war as their illegal hiding money (sec) as all of this shines a light on what really goes on. People will continue to leave in droves , missionary work in the us will come to a halt and more and more will refuse to give the church a dime.

Our church leaders are so inspired. That’s how we are able to give millions to every state affected by a natural disaster to help those affected by it. We use our buildings as places for effected people to stay at or as a resource point.

  13. @joaop.barata6062 on April 14, 2025 at 8:06 pm

The individuals filling this lawsuit are being extremely disingenuous. They knew exactly how their donations would be used when they decided to donate.

  14. @orweyztungchiu5819 on April 14, 2025 at 8:06 pm

There will always be disgruntled members of any congregation. This is just an excuse for religious persecution.

  15. @kturman5362 on April 14, 2025 at 8:06 pm

I never worry about the funds I donate. Our leaders are called of the Lord. Everything they do with Tithes benefits not only church members but also nonmembers w those whom are in need. We’ve seen this many times. The Red Cross and FEMA are broke because of mismanagement of our tax dollars but when there’s a state, nation or worldwide crisis, who do you see out there in those yellow vests. Food, clothing, water and all sorts of supplies are supplied by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints! If that’s mismanaging my money then by all means keep at it!

  16. @YouMayTryAgain on April 14, 2025 at 8:08 pm

Let the Church Grow!!!!! LET IT SPREAD ALL OVER THE WORLD ❤ I am a member from the Philippines and because of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. With Faith and Hope Charity Humbleness. I am can provide food for my Family Help Church and church members and even non members❤ LET THIS CHURCH SPREAD THAT ALL MAY TASTE THE GOODNESS OF THE GOSPEL AND HAPPINESS OF DOING GOOD AND HELPING EARNING MORE MONEY BECAUSE OF GREAT HOPE THAT WE CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTHEN US!

  17. @rhondanewman3849 on April 14, 2025 at 8:11 pm

When I pay my tithing, I am not telling the Church what to do with it. I feel that I am giving money back that my Heavenly Father has given me. I fully trust that this money will go where it is needed most. If this truly bothers a person, don’t pay tithing to the Church.

  18. @andrew9019 on April 14, 2025 at 8:13 pm

If I give someone money, I’m not surprised if they save some of it. And “saving” now is the same as smart investing. I don’t see how or why anyone could possibly think this is an issue.

  27. @scottthefamilyman1533 on April 14, 2025 at 8:30 pm

Ha ha. Id give my entire net worth to the church if the prophet requested that we do so. And that’s a lot of money. People want to hate the church because it has a lot of money, but that’s probably because the church tries to be wise with the money. It’s the Lord’s work. Hurrah for Israel!

  28. @moirawatson-pickering7228 on April 14, 2025 at 8:32 pm

May l add that paying one’s Tithing is not only a privilege but also, a great blessing.
    No offence intended.
    Have a blessed day.

¶ Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. 9 Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation. 10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. 11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts. This is why i pay my tithing,

  30. @kainuisocean on April 14, 2025 at 8:34 pm

The church that claims God is a man, and Mormon men can be gods, is a COMPLETE FRAUD and it proves you can never hire or trust an Attorney or Judge who is LDS. If they are that blind to plain biblical evidence, the will never be objective and unbiased.

  31. @JosephMichaelLima on April 14, 2025 at 8:37 pm

I have been suffering from low back pain since 2018 then two years after it grew worse. The surgeon who interpreted my X-ray to me marvelled that I could be sitting in fron of him. My L5-S1 joint is in a very bad condition that he recommended treating it as an emergency. I had acute disc degeneration that constantly left me in excruciating pains. Neither My mom or family could afford a treatment or surgery but the church paid every single dime required for me to be whole again. An amount that is worth million in my local currency. The church saved my life when there’s no other source.

  36. @everingtonmbuyisa8189 on April 14, 2025 at 8:44 pm

What FRAUD? The Church didn’t steal any money.

  37. @marlenedolores on April 14, 2025 at 8:44 pm

Good I can’t believe they won’t help me as a divorced mother who can’t pay her rent due to my last Bishop helping me. It’s maddening to let people understand that they are allowing people to be homeless instead of helping more financially to their own people not just through food and charitable contributions and there’s a lot of laundering going on.

  38. @L.D.S.HELLHOLE on April 14, 2025 at 8:45 pm

REALITY ? TAX EVASION ! GOOD FOR THE SUPREME COURT ! ANY TRUE DISCIPLE OF CHRIST’S GOSPEL SHOULD NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT MONEY FOR DOOMSDAY ! OR HIS PHYSICAL RETURN TO EARTH ! thats DELUSIONAL !

  39. @bmvanloo on April 14, 2025 at 8:47 pm

Tax fraud is the issue. LDS operates as a business and invests in businesses and does not give to open charitites, but wants religious exemption. And if you do not invest in the church and its people you violate that.

  43. @moirawatson-pickering7228 on April 14, 2025 at 8:49 pm

    Tithing is not a donation

You are asked to pay 10% of you income, therefore it’s not a donation.

It is a commandment with a set figure, to pay.
Please stop calling it a donation.
    No offence intended.

  45. @barbarafarnsworth4800 on April 14, 2025 at 8:51 pm

Those who disparage the Lord’s church play right into the hands of the adversary. I would not want to be in their shoes. I pray they will come to know Jesus Christ and return to Him. This is what He desires. I am so glad my tithing money goes to help those in need.
