Ok I’ve been a Christian 30 years and I’m just gonna say this. Most of our theology isn’t even biblical. I have a new theology and here it is. Whatever Jesus said and taught. I’m done with religion. I’m about Jesus and only Jesus. And if you start reading Jesus and stop explaining him away with OT theology you will find a very different message than taught in broad Christianity. I try to remain faithful to the text and only the text not systems used to explain the text. If Jesus said it I believe it. I don’t give the same authority to all text because it’s in a Bible. Whose bible? Whose canon? There are a ton of different ones all throughout history. If you go back in first and second centuries they almost all said revelation was not to be trusted. But we all today trust it. How can any of us truly know anything. It’s all faith. For my faith put it in the Words of Jesus.
John MacAuthor is not Jesus. I honestly could care less about what he says he’s just a man like me. I appreciate his take and bless him as a brother and pray now for him. But I also note that he has become extremely wealthy by his teachings and faith. On the other hand my faith has me constantly giving away any excess I have to the poor. In all my years of ministry I sought for no compensation ever. Anything I’ve freely received, I’ve freely given. Not that it’s wrong to make books or make a living. Im not judging or condemning just sharing my own personal conviction. I honestly wish I had as much money as him. So I could give it away.

I know God is real because of my experience. I was a stubborn atheist until I met someone who led me to Jesus and my life was transformed I was born again and filled with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues I was fill with an amazing love, joy and peace which I had never experienced in my life, I knew my sins were forgiven. I knew God was real from that moment and that he would never leave me. I asked my new friends what has happened to me what is this language I’m speaking and they said " you’ve received the baptism of the Holy Ghost and they showed me in the Bible Acts chapters 1 and 2 where Jesus said to his apostles wait in Jerusalem until you receive power from on high and on the day of Pentecost the Holy Ghost was first poured out on the apostles and they began to speak in tongues and preach with power and boldness and perform miracles of healing and even raising people from the dead as Jesus did. In Peter’s first sermon to the Jews he said " Repent and be baptised every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost " I believe the Bible is true because of what I experienced, plus hundreds of prophecies in the Bible have been fulfilled and are being fulfilled before our very eyes. Call on Jesus when you pray instead of Allah and you will know he is the way the truth and the life as he said. He also said" heaven and earth shall pass away but my Words shall never pass away." there’s only one true and living God the Almighty Creator of the heavens and the earth my friend and he loves you so much he gave his only begotten son to die for your sins and mine that we might be reconciled to God.

I have no horse in the race, as I got out of religion a long time ago. Tbf to Mormons tho, they start their preaching at a pretty young age, and are just force-fed rhetoric for most of it, same as Witnesses. They don’t read or learn the scriptures.
At the same time, Christians don’t either. They pick out passages they can use and memorize only those, throwing out the rest and all it’s related doctrine, which is why they can keep pretending to themselves God is love, rather than the spiteful vengeful God of the Hebrew scriptures. They also change their teachings according to the times, which is good for progressives, but odd to then insist there is but one "truth".
Religion is absolutely a scam, and I pity anyone who relies on it to give their lives meaning. Maslow’s Hiearchy of Needs dictates it’s not going anywhere tho, as people in despair always want hope. Best of luck to anyone in their journey, but please use your critical thinking skills alongside your beliefs.

All right fellas they used Psalm 82 because no one seems to know what Psalm 82 means they project their ignorance into the verse thinking that they’re the ones that are in the congregation of the mighty in Psalm 82 they don’t understand that the masoretic Hebrew text doesn’t directly address this problem it does in the septuagent but since nobody likes to go up beyond and criticize what’s normal today read the ESV with Deuteronomy 32:8 and 9 and you’ll understand who the gods are in Psalm 82 and maybe a full person can tell these missionaries exactly what spoken of if you don’t know these gods and Psalm 82 are the angels that were set over the 70 rebellious nations at the Tower of Babel they were to govern them in the Lord while the Lord went and called Abram and Sarai out of Babylon basically these gods put over the nations did a bad job imaging YHWH and God took their immortality from them so now that you know do you really want to keep reading only the King James

Ive been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for 8 years and I have never been in a circle of Saints Claming that we will become Gods. I belive the Elder was trying to express while in a video trap that we are to inherit the kingdom of God. When sharing the gospel with others be mindful that we are all children of Abraham and thoe God says we are to come to heaven like children. Amen if you agree that we all should share the gospel with Love and Adderation towards eachother. Thank you elder for your service! Without brothers and sisters like you my heart would not be in the place it is today. And thank you sir for stepping out in faith to share how to be aware of evils in this world to be aware of. And with genuine understanding of being a Member of the house of Abraham, a Saint, a child of the Son of David whom has mercy on me. Poor missionary just didn’t know his gospel, but read the book of Mormon. Read the doctor and covenants. Read the Pearl great price. Don’t forget the Bible when you emerge yourself in the gospel of Jesus Christ. You’ll learn unexpected things.
