The Book of James may be one of the most misunderstood books in Christian history. Consequently, it’s one of my favorite books to read! In it, the boundless beauty of the gospel are worked out in a way like never before. How does James fit with the rest of the Bible? Well, let’s explore! 🚀

13:36-22:00 – Chapter 2: Saved by Works
22:01-24:57 – Chapter 3: Teachers and Preachers
24:58-28:44 – Chapter 4: Prophetic Warnings

Hey, imagine this: Eli, a carpenter in a sleepy village, always chasing cash and clout. One day, a scruffy traveler rolls in, quoting the Book of James: “Faith without works is dead.” Boom—hits Eli hard. He’s been all talk, no action. Next day, he’s fixing a widow’s table, building a bed for an orphan, sharing his lunch. No more hollow prayers. His faith’s alive now, and the village can’t stop buzzing. Short story, big lesson—James wasn’t kidding!

I once saw an alpha/omega productions YouTube video titled: "Gospel of Jesus according to James: the chapter modern day Protestants fear the most." I saw that as saying there are Christians out there that feel they don’t have to follow the commands Jesus gave us like help the poor, love your neighbors (strangers), the Eucharist, and they don’t have to be nice or understanding or forgiving… Bcuz before they die all they have to do is repeat that Jesus is salvation and king, Son of God. And thats it.. but although I do agree that is true.. saved by grace, but at the same time it’s kinda not…? Only God knows. I do know that Love is greater than faith and hope.

I have just read the book of james for the first time and just come upon this video. For me it is eye opening. THANKYOU SO MUCH.

  7. @marthacooper7731 on June 20, 2025 at 10:33 pm

There was no church. They were assemblies. Christians really have no idea.

  8. @peterpiper487 on June 20, 2025 at 10:35 pm

Yep… Yeshua was perfectly obedient on our behalf… and where did it get him? Crucified. Let’s not forget that God could have saved Yeshua from crucifixion. Yep… let’s take a look at who or what we are worshiping.

If you say that Jesus came to liberate us from the "law" then why did He say in Matthew 5:17
[17]“Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.
    ? You lost me!

    Thanks

  11. @croupircroupir9079 on June 20, 2025 at 10:39 pm

You mention the trinity then later you said one God. Be assured i believe the Bible speaks of one God, and Jesus is the name of that one God. As you said, " the demons believe that there is one God and tremble "

  12. @LogeyDogeyOficial on June 20, 2025 at 10:39 pm

Faith without works is dead, Simply means that if a person is genuinely saved they will have genuine works and vice versa Amen

  13. @bigsluryt on June 20, 2025 at 10:39 pm

james sheds light on Jesus’ words "you cannot serve two masters" brilliantly. in my top 5 epistles

  14. @keithclark8030 on June 20, 2025 at 10:40 pm

Oops, already know this guy does not know what he is talking about. Salvation does not have to produce good works.

  15. @HEETSEEKAH on June 20, 2025 at 10:42 pm

We’re about to get into this book in my Bible Study. I’m really trying to understand the heart of this book, why James felt he needed to write it. You’re my first stop in a deep dive for the truth in this. Bless you all and thank you for this easy to digest explanation. God speed, brothers. May He bless your works for His glory.

  16. @GodsWhisper-w4g on June 20, 2025 at 10:45 pm

The way you connect faith, wisdom, and action makes the message come alive. Thank you for making such a deep and often misunderstood book so engaging and accessible!

And to think people want James taken out

  20. @BibleWisdomWalk on June 20, 2025 at 10:50 pm

James doesn’t just teach about faith — he emphasizes action. Thank you for helping me understand that more.

  21. @premsagard4162 on June 20, 2025 at 10:50 pm

The moment I read the bible I found out the truth that it could not be destroyed jesus in cross had 2 other person behind him

  22. @timoromeo7663 on June 20, 2025 at 10:51 pm

I let James summarize his book himself in 1 verse.
Jas 1:1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, TO the twelve tribes (of Israel) which are scattered abroad, greeting. The good news of the circumcision, IS NOT the same as the good news of the UNcircumcision. If I read my neighbors mail and it said, "you have cancer and a week to live, get your affairs in order", and I believed it was written to me then, I would be a most pitiful soul.

  23. @christopherc.quevedo9375 on June 20, 2025 at 10:53 pm

The message is spot on, the voice actor, in my opinion, is reading too casually as if it’s just a normal conversation with normal words. Tuning out, but thanks for sharing the word, brother. Amen.

  26. @brichards443 on June 20, 2025 at 10:56 pm

I don’t believe that Jesus came to free us from the law but rather freed us from the burden and the corruption that the law had become.

  28. @hisrighthandsaves on June 20, 2025 at 10:58 pm

The book of James is about the salvation of Jesus Christ. And how the Holy Ghost of Jesus Christ for those who have really been born again of God spirit. Through the power of the hoist, for those that are walking in the spirit of the living, God will do works through the vessels that he is actually in and keep themselves submitted to him. All of these people teaching the Bible these days from Lehman to so-called Christian pastors are not even born of gods spirit. You better stand up commentaries and listening from all these people or you will miss the boat. God is the only standardbearer. You must be born again of the Holy Ghost and it must be an experience like the book of acts or you will not enter the kingdom of God do not listen to the modern day Christian Church. Get along get on your knees. It takes hours days weeks months or longer and cry out to the Lord until the Holy Ghost of heaven like in the book of acts Supernaturally makes you born again of God spirit

    Thank you for this!

  30. @timjones1583 on June 20, 2025 at 11:00 pm

There is NO JAMES. It’s JUDA. the reason he is called james is king james wanted his name in the bible and also to separate the roots of our faith from the Jews. Got news for you YESHUA MESSIAH was and is a JEW. The Juda mentioned here is the half brother of Yeshua.

  31. @DrMekel on June 20, 2025 at 11:01 pm

This teaching was SO GOOD, thank you! I thoroughly enjoyed reading the entire book along with the video, appreciating the historical context and James’ intended meaning for each of us. Excited to learn more!

  33. @loriduvernell-preston772 on June 20, 2025 at 11:04 pm

I love your videos. Amazing work. The only feedback I have is that the picture you use for James the older son of Zeb is actually Andrew and the chosen. Ha ha. You grabbed the picture of the wrong actor. You have a really great teaching style.

  38. @peterpiper487 on June 20, 2025 at 11:09 pm

Jesus is NOT ever referred to as "the Lord of Divinity" in the Bible but is referred to as "the Lord" only.

    I loved this video!

  40. @kilroymike on June 20, 2025 at 11:13 pm

  41. @RiverofArtArtTreasury on June 20, 2025 at 11:18 pm

There is a tiny, deserted and neglected church building near where I stay, and I thought it would be a good idea to buy rhe building, restore it and rename it The Church if Mary Magdalene, and staet a community there. Due to the dominant views of Christians in the area, I decided against it, as there are too many prejudices against women here.

  42. @jasonpalmer1912 on June 20, 2025 at 11:19 pm

Great word! I am struggling in this, and you helped me a lot. God bless y’all.

  43. @bigdonut64 on June 20, 2025 at 11:23 pm

Ah yes, the common name JAMES in the ancient world of names like Zebedee and Hosea.

Jokes aside GREAT video, I appreciate the insight!

  44. @joshuamartinpryce1237 on June 20, 2025 at 11:24 pm

The most important lessons is we need to prove our salvation with true intentions and a sincere love for God.
