I got bored of watching videos and was scrolling around. This popped up in my recommended videos. I have never watched cycling before, but I watched an anime on the sport and loved it. I still don’t know much of this sport, but gosh it is amazing seeing what they can do on these roads. At the end of this video my legs twitches hahaha. Awesome job and awesome sport.

  3. Frank Raucci on May 12, 2022 at 8:00 pm

Alaphilipe was robbed last year though I don’t know if he would’ve pulled it off he deserved a shot and this race showed what he is capable of. Brilliant!!!!

  4. Reed Nelson on May 12, 2022 at 8:01 pm

The podium is excellent this year… three deserving riders.

  5. Carlos Cardenas on May 12, 2022 at 8:01 pm

  9. Brian Pearson on May 12, 2022 at 8:07 pm

Did you have to show the winner in the thumbnail? Takes all the excitement out of watching.

  10. Diane Boross on May 12, 2022 at 8:11 pm

Congratulations, Julian Alaphilippe! So sorry to see the penalty at the Tour de France this year. Redemption!

Drafting should be penalized no teams evry man for himself

Yowamushi pedal really made this more exciting

  14. magpie1869 on May 12, 2022 at 8:17 pm

A very sad place. This is the track where one of the most beloved race car drivers of all time, Brazil’s Ayrton Senna crashed and died.

  15. True Grinder on May 12, 2022 at 8:17 pm

    Amazing Julian!

  16. neftali munoz on May 12, 2022 at 8:17 pm

I think that Ulices made a big statement for the underdogs that don’t get seen that much or they don’t pay attention to them Mexico has great riders and no one looks at them I think is time to start seeing more at countries like that to get the next generation of cyclist

  17. Trent Brisket on May 12, 2022 at 8:18 pm

    Lololol fancy bike go BRRRR

  18. 8Ryanaugust on May 12, 2022 at 8:18 pm

I think Pogacar’s ego got the best of him: what was he thinking riding 20 km by himself only 5-6 seconds in front of the peloton?

  19. Melissa Flick on May 12, 2022 at 8:19 pm

That was so wonderful to watch! JA has been magnificent these past few years. Bravo, Julian!

  20. r6duck on May 12, 2022 at 8:20 pm

Thanks for the spoiler, saves me time not having to watch.

  21. Vincent Sullivan on May 12, 2022 at 8:20 pm

jeez – how about spoiler alert for those of us coming in here late?

  22. Bud Owens on May 12, 2022 at 8:20 pm

Great race. Alaphillipe is a fantastic racer, the epitome of the phrase "You have to risk losing to win." In this case I think he owes a tip of the hat to Van Aert. If Wout isn’t in that group those others chase MUCH harder….. as it was, you take Van Aert to the line, you get beat (as evidenced by the finish). Well played Julian! Great finishing group too. Outstanding race. The Tour and the WC have been fantastic this crazy year. Let’s hope the Giro continues this surprising season!

  23. WPM8 on May 12, 2022 at 8:20 pm

so many ups and downs for Alaphilippe, he deserved this one

  24. We Need You on May 12, 2022 at 8:22 pm

    Aamazing

  25. Dan Goldsmith on May 12, 2022 at 8:23 pm

@17:18, does anyone know what type of watch JA is wearing?

  26. Bobby V on May 12, 2022 at 8:26 pm

These guys should have known how dangerous Alaphillippe is. It’s like the chasing group was so consumed about what was going on in their group that they didn’t go all out and help chase Julian back. At least you could be racing for 2nd place instead of 3rd and so on. It’s like they purposefully didn’t want Van Aert to win. Dumb.

  27. End Censorship on May 12, 2022 at 8:29 pm

That’s how you beat a "finisher" – you attack! Don’t give him a chance to pull out an amazing sprint. Julian did what *racers* need to do: make the race advantageous to their skill set. That was was a really well done effort by the entire French team.
This cycling year just gets better and better. One of the best Tours is followed up by one of the best Worlds. Looking forward to more. Thank you, Pro Cycling, for making 2020 worth the wait.

This is is a broadcast meant for an American audience, how about some air time and iscussion about the U.S eacets?

  29. bianchi1885 on May 12, 2022 at 8:30 pm

Isn’t the Romanian at 2:48 that guy in your local group ride?

  30. pinarello campagnolo on May 12, 2022 at 8:34 pm

    A lot of non-disc bikes.

  31. CSSFMS on May 12, 2022 at 8:35 pm

Rewatching in anticipation of what’s to come in a couple hours, hoping WVA finally gets gold, in a sprint finish over MvDP 🙂

  32. Ellery Bice on May 12, 2022 at 8:35 pm

Boring narration, like golf being played with tennis wands.

  33. Princess_Yow on May 12, 2022 at 8:35 pm

I didn’t know asians rode bikes. This is the first time I’ve seen any media coverage of such an event.

  34. Fred Howland on May 12, 2022 at 8:37 pm

Absolutely awful commentators. Make me appreciate Anthony McCrossin.

  35. Erik Knudsen on May 12, 2022 at 8:38 pm

He averaged nearly 8 w/kg for 3:30 on that attack. And that was after over 6 hours of racing. Insane.

  36. 2Bullets on May 12, 2022 at 8:39 pm

    yall should watch yowamushi pedal

  37. Erick Beltre on May 12, 2022 at 8:39 pm

    Wout a BEAST!!!

  38. Sebastian Lecourt on May 12, 2022 at 8:40 pm

JA likes that right-handed punch victory salute. I’m always worried he’ll knock himself over one of these days!

  39. Ella on May 12, 2022 at 8:45 pm

The commentators said "it’s only matter of time before we see wout in the rainbow jersey" like he didn’t win 3 world titles as a cyclo-cross racer

  40. TheSaturnV on May 12, 2022 at 8:46 pm

Deadpan announcers. Really makes you appreciate Phil Liggett.

  41. CVN65 on May 12, 2022 at 8:46 pm

Don’t put the name of the winner in the caption, geniuses. Hide it in the "show more" part. People watching this do not want the outcome ruined by your carelessness.

  42. CVN65 on May 12, 2022 at 8:47 pm

Very glad for Alaphilippe. Works very hard. After last year, wearing the yellow jersey for so long, this year’s Tour had to be a let down. Bounced right back and rode strong and smart. Enjoy the year in the rainbow, Julian.

  43. Nancy Smith on May 12, 2022 at 8:48 pm

Great job 6.5 plus hrs in the saddle… hills, turns, fast down hills, tight turns
