Matthew 5:17-19 : “Do not think that I have come to do away with the Law and the Prophets. I haven’t come to do away with them but to fulfill them (meaning of fulfill/make full : grant it the power to give people eternal life by covering our transgressions with his shed blood as long as we repent and do our best to sin no more, grace is not a license for sin or disobedience). I say to you very seriously that as long as heaven and earth exist, neither the smallest letter nor even the smallest stroke of a pen will be erased from the Law until everything there becomes a reality. Therefore, whoever ignores one of the least of these commands and teaches others to do the same will be called the lowest in the kingdom of heaven. But whoever keeps these commands and teaches people to keep them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.”

Luke 16:17 : “It’s easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for the smallest stroke of a pen in the Law to drop out.”

John 14:15,21 : “If you love me, you will keep my commandments.” “Whoever has my commandments and keeps them loves me. Whoever loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love them and reveal myself to them.”

Matthew 19:16-19 : “And see, one came and said to Him, “Good Teacher, what good shall I do to have everlasting life?”
And He said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good except One – Alahim (God). But if you wish to enter into life, keep the commands.”
He said to Him, “Which?” And Yahusha said, “Don’t commit murder. Don’t commit adultery. Don’t steal. Don’t give false testimony. Honor your father and mother, and love your neighbor as you love yourself.”

Matthew 7:21-23 : “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Master, Master,’ shall enter into the reign of the heavens, but he who is doing the desire of My Father in the heavens. Many shall say to Me in that day, ‘Master, Master, have we not prophesied in Your Name, and cast out demons in Your Name, and done many mighty works in Your Name?’ And then I shall declare to them, ‘I never knew you, depart from Me, you who work lawlessness!’

John 3:36 : “He who believes in the Son possesses everlasting life, but he who does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.”

Matthew 13:41 : “The Son of Adam shall send out His angels, and they shall gather out of His reign all the stumbling-blocks, and those doing lawlessness.”

Romans 2:13 : “For not the hearers of the Law are righteous in the sight of God, but the doers of the Law shall be declared right.”

Hebrews 4:9-13 : “So you see that a sabbath rest is left open for God’s people. The one who entered God’s rest also rested from his works, just as God rested from his own.
Therefore, let’s make every effort to enter that rest so that no one will fall by following the same example of disobedience, because God’s word is living, active, and sharper than any two-edged sword. It penetrates to the point that it separates the soul from the spirit and the joints from the marrow. It’s able to judge the heart’s thoughts and intentions. No creature is hidden from it, but rather everything is naked and exposed to the eyes of the One to whom we have to give an answer.”

James 1:22-25 : “You must be doers of the Word and not only hearers who mislead themselves. Those who hear but don’t do the Word are like those who look at their faces in the mirror, for they look at themselves, walk away, and immediately forget what they were like. But they who study the perfect Law, that of freedom, and continue in it, not becoming hearers that forget but doers of work, they shall be blessed in their doing of the Law.”

James 2:14-26 : “My brothers, what use is it for anyone to say he has belief but does not have works? This belief is unable to save him. And if a brother or sister is naked and in need of daily food, but one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and be filled,” but you do not give them the bodily needs, what use is it?
So also belief, if it does not have works, is in itself dead. But someone might say, “You have belief, and I have works.” Show me your belief without your works, and I shall show you my belief by my works.
You believe that God is one. You do well. The demons also believe – and shudder!
But do you wish to know, O foolish man, that the belief without the works is dead?
Was not Abraham our father declared right by works when he offered Isac his son on the slaughter-place?
Do you see that the belief was working with his works, and by the works the belief was perfected?
And the Scripture was filled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him for righteousness.” And He called him, “he who loves God.”
You see, then, that a man is declared right by works, and not by belief alone.
In the same way, was not Rahab the whore also declared right by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way? For as the body without the spirit is dead, so also the belief is dead without the works.”

1 John 2:3-7 : And by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commands.
The one who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commands, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever guards His Word, truly the love of God has been perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. The one who says he stays in Him ought himself also to walk, even as He walked. Beloved, I write no fresh command to you, but an old command which you have had from the beginning. The old command is the Word which you heard from the beginning.”

1 John 3:4 : “Everyone doing sin also breaks the Law, for sin is lawlessness.”

1 John 5:3 : “For this is the love for God, that we keep His commands, and His commands are not heavy.”

2 John 1:6 : “And this is the love, that we walk according to His commands. This is the command, that as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in it.”

Revelation 12:17 : “And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to fight with the remnant of her seed, those guarding the commands of God and possessing the witness of Yahusha the Messiah.”

Revelation 14:12 : “Here is the endurance of the saints, here are those guarding the commands of God and the belief of Yahusha.”

Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 : “Let us hear the conclusion of the entire matter: Fear God and guard His commands, for this applies to all mankind! For God shall bring every work into right-judgement, including all that is hidden, whether good or whether evil.”

1 John 2:17 : “And the world passes away, and the lust of it, but the one doing the desire of God remains forever.”

    Revelation 22:12-14
“And see, I am coming speedily, and My reward is with Me, to give to each according to his work.
I am the ‘Aleph’ and the ‘Taw’, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.
Blessed are those doing His commands, so that the authority shall be theirs unto the tree of life, and to enter through the gates into the city.”

Romans 16:24-27 : “The favour of our Master Yahusha the Messiah be with you all. Amen.
And to Him who is able to establish you according to my Good News and the preaching of Yahusha the Messiah, according to the revelation of the secret which was kept silent since times of old, but now has been made manifest, and by the prophetic Scriptures has been made known to all nations, according to the command of the everlasting God, for belief-obedience.
To Alahim (God), wise alone, be the esteem, through Yahusha the Messiah forever. Amen.”

  9. bbg372 on April 21, 2022 at 7:12 pm

I am confused about the tone of this film. Is it supposed to be a comedy? It is not funny. Is Dilly supposed to be intellectually disabled? He seems to be. Are we supposed to find humor in that? The writer/director/actor is much older than the character he is portraying. His costuming, hairstyling, and make-up is supposed to help him appear younger, but it only succeeds in making him look feminine. As a result, he comes across like a combination of the low-I.Q. Forrest Gump and the androgynous Pat O’Neill Riley from Saturday Night Live. I just do not understand what this film is trying to be, and who its audience is.

VERY strange vehicle for some scriptural truths. Starts like a comical LOTR / Forrest Gump / Napoleon Dynamite parody, then levels off, gets a tad depressing and much hokey weirder, then just kinda takes a nap, trying to be touching and cute. Liked the scriptural references though. Give it an A for good intentions. Every character though, creeped me out, just some more than others.

I have missed my best friend from elementary school and looked for her several times throughout the years. She moved away when we were in fifth grade. I started watching this movie and felt inspired to look again. And I found her! We messaged back-and-forth all evening. I am beyond excited and grateful!

and NO…no one goes ”to Heaven" when they die…they SLEEP in death /the grave until they are resurrected in THEIR TURN and are ”saved" ONLY after judment / when CHRIST is whom they stand before. All these manmade church ideas and traditions in the world are WRONG with much…right down to ‘sunday’ worship / xmas / easter etc… God’s Holly Word is clear on the 7th day worship / on NOT keeping to man’s traditions but to HIS specifically ordained LAW of annual Holy Days set down by HIM for ”’all nations" to keep forever and ever EVEN to the end of the age. NOTHING of God’s laws was ever ”done away with" at Jesus’s cross/death other than the symbolic offerings… not one jot or title was to be changed from God’s law… NOT ONE
