    Hey Kurt/Emote Record Company,

This is a really nice piece! my name is Thomas Zeman im a filmstudent from the Netherlands. Right now im working on a project called ”Time” i found this poem and it matches the footage i made pretty good. is there a chance that i can use this spoken word track without background music in my video? unfortunately i don’t have much to offer because i don’t earn lots of money with filmmaking but i can offer a really nice place in the end credits! Im only posting it on my Vimeo channel and my intentions are not to generate money with the video.

    greetings,

    Thomas Zeman

I am learning to be grateful for each moment
But I’m well aware that this today
is very quickly joining the history class full of yesterdays so friends before it does
allow me to share something with you
Time. It can fly. And promises to heal all of our wounds.
We try to make it, save it, kill it and there is never enough of it
Time. It’s what stops everything from happening all at once.
Making sense of past into present into future, it’s later and it’s sooner.
Time. is what measures the duration of pain and of joy and of everything in between
and its awful but it’s lovely and it’s gracious and then it’s mean.
Time. Is like the wind. It lifts the light to float with it
while leaving the heavy to curse the rushing breeze.
And I’m really convinced that time stops when you really have to sneeze.
Time it seems to rule all aspects of our lives A
nd has been the endless fascination for every creed and nation
    throughout all of time
Its seems to vary from place to place
Personally I have yet to face a space where it does not intermingle and interlace itself into everything
and the mysterious thing is that time is completely personal
    But then entirely public
Each second is scribed only to you
But that self-same moment is for the rest of us too
So it doesn’t matter who you are or what you pursue
Time does not discriminate so do not misconstrue
We all face life at sixty minutes and hour
And then time seems to pester only man
Because bird and bee seem so free from the tick-tock time bomb mentality
that plays through you and me you see a hummingbird
can flap its wings ninety times in a single second
Those wings are spun of silver, emerald, and gold
And these tiny little creatures are hearts to behold
Angelic features and colors so bright they propel imagination to a new delight
There is magic in the way that they flick through the sky
They appear and they vanish in the blink of an eye
But if you think that’s impressive friend,
    You’ll consider they fly
Because those buzzing buggers beat their wings more than one thousand times a second
Now I’m no fan of a fly, but none can deny that is pretty impressive
Then it also makes sense that the average mayfly has a lifespan of maybe more than
    thirty minutes
And if I were ever limited to such extent I could only ever be content by
Cramming every minute with sixty seconds well spent
And so that begs the question
How are you spending your time?
Allow me to suggest that you stop
Stop waiting for some dream day when you get your fresh start
Let loose the wild things you’re keeping locked up in your heart and
Stop hoping to make it if you do nothing about trying
Because we are all headed towards death
So what are you doing about dying
    Stop talking about killing time
    While time quietly kills you
    Talk is cheap
And every second is as precious as life itself
    And so my friends,
Thank you for spending a little of your life with me

Seems like only yesterday that I first watched this video. Where does the time go, honestly? It flies by because, more often than sometimes, we allow it to. God, time goes by so fast. Gather ye rosebuds while ye may, Old Time is still a-flying; And this same flower that smiles today Tomorrow will be dying. Carpe Diem

Love  this . Would appreciate your guidance with regards to music for a spoken word video I’d like to make.  My musician friend has read the poem, and I’ve alos recorded myself speaking it for his reference. We were wondering about whether to shoot this with him playing liive next to me, as opposed to just giving home  the footage and asking him to  compose it after the final edit is done, in whcih case then he would nto be in the video. Im just wondering if I were to shoot minus the music I may say it differently since I dont have the music to kinda react to.(soorry too many questions)
