Biblical Wisdom for Everyday Struggles—Stuart Olyott Question & Answer Session

Biblical Wisdom for Everyday Struggles—Stuart Olyott Question & Answer Session

In this Q&A, Stuart Olyott answers questions on doubt, suffering, and how scripture shapes our trust in God. He talks about overcoming early questions about the truth of the Bible, walking through personal loss, and what it means to leave hard questions with God. You’ll hear his thoughts on discerning God’s will, keeping a church united when consciences differ, dealing with temptation as you grow in grace, and why the gospel must stay front and center. He also touches on preparing for marriage, baptism and church membership, evangelism without getting sidetracked, honoring parents when convictions clash, and building a daily habit of Gospel reading.

In this world we are exposed to pain in a way that we cannot always understand why. Truth is we can’t stop it and we can’t reverse it. God is silent and we have to find a way not to blame him and just accept. We all carry a cross.

I have been telling God how I long to have an older person who know s Christ deeply and richly to have conversation with. I count Stuart to be God’s gift to me today… beyond words here. (My Dad was born in Liverpool and JC Ryle I have become familiar with. I have visited with family in Liverpool and was even more moved as Stuart is from there?!). Just thank you from Canada!

On the unpardonable sin question…there was a major factor that this wise man left out….this occasion, the man was both deaf and dumb. The pharisees had a rule that whenever they witnessed a demon being cast out of a person who could not speak, that would be your Messiah. This is why they "scrambled " to find a reason, and said he was in league with beezlebub.
